In that you want to sell arguably our best player who has a nigh on perfect fitness record because he's currently not in his best form for a player who's 3 years older and has a terrible fitness record

It's so incredibly stupid I'm genuinely lost for words

Unsurprising.

He was seemingly offered a very good wage by the club but Juve offered to pay his agent quite a bit and give him a ridiculous wage.

If he didn't want to stay then never mind, onwards and upwards. He hasn't done anything to warrant losing sleep or crying about.

Plus, his agents got a reported 2Mish Euros for the deal which is seems to be what has swayed it. But if the lad wasn't committed to the club no matter the fee/wage then I'd rather he left now than later.

When do the FFP rules start coming into effect?

well in theory they could flog some huge names to the likes of PSG /Russians that have mega wealthy backers and use that to recruit young and upcoming stars without incuring too much additional FFP problems

(obviously this is only in theory as some/all may not agree to go where the most money is being offered)

Always the agents fault when a player of potential leaves utd. Only time will tell if he was true quality but the reports do make it clear its another Pique moment.

Is that a good or a bad thing?

Bojan Djorjic (next Giggs), Mads Timm (next Beckham), Frazier Campbell, Ebanks Blake all at one point were talked up to be the next big thing. Fact is there's a very small percentage of young players who are talked up that ever amount to anything.

Morrison only got the press he did because of his off the field headlines, Pogba's only getting the headlines now because of the circumstances which led to him coming to United in the first place. Notice how hardly a thing is being said about Fryers who's also apparently out of contract shortly.

Or Morrison and Pogba are thought to have more potential talent than Fryers. If Pogba had just signed a five year deal, Manyoo fans would be fawning over him... as he's decided to bail, they now couldn't care less - lol.

That's your interpretation and given your long drawn out debate in the other thread about money spent it's clear to see that you're just among a massive group that are incredibly blinkered against Man Utd. You're right there may be a section of supporters that fap over young players but they're not the majority and they're by no means any different from any other section of fans that support every club up and down the country.

You may want to refrain from calling the club Manyoo as well

How am I "blinkered against Man Utd"? The discussion in the other thread wasn't Manyoo-centric .

I've got nothing against Manyoo... or any club, really.

Lets just say when you go out of your way to continually call the club Manyoo, highlight that United supporters cant moan at City's spending (which none of us were) and then assume had 2 youth team players signed new deals we'd all be fapping over them and like no other supporter does the same you kinda give the perception that you're nailing your colours to the mast (so to speak) against the club.

I hardly go out of my way... Manyoo = six key presses. Man Utd = seven :).

I also call Manchester City... Citeh. Omg, I'm hatin' on Citeh, I guess? :o

And lol - I'm consistent with my view... it's not an anti-Manyoo thing... I always think it's laughable when people say, "WELL WE DIDN'T WANT HIM, ANYWAY", when a player wants to leave - like when Biz (I think) said it, before. The same with Arsenal + Nasri, etc.

Your post count suggests you know the rules of this place, calling Man Utd Manyoo is the same as calling Liverpool lolerpool (or whatever it is). As far as I'm aware it's against the rules

As for the second part again that's your perception, not all fans are as fickle as you make them out to be. I for one aren't really arsed if Pogba leaves as chances are he'll never be top class anyway and chances are had he signed a new contract we're still more likely to buy someone else than play him anyway. Morrison I was slightly more peeved about because he's English and a local lad but even he I doubt will fulfil the hype. I dont know who Biz was referring to in your example so I cant defend him.

imo its always sad to see youngsters leave (we have had a number SAF wanted to let go at the time, who have gone to have great careers in EPL) especially those who's talent have been acclaimed for the past few years by the people at the club seeing them in training every day.

Morrison has already caused a bit of a ruckus at West Ham, even though he only joined at the end of Jan. Im sad to see Pogba go, but if he is already chasing the highest wage possible without actually proving anything yet.......well good luck to him.

There seem to be others from Utd's U18 /reserves which might well come good in the next season or so - hopefully these guys make more of their opportunity at Utd than the above two did.

Ultimately if he wasn't dedicated to the club and his head was turned then nevermind. If he goes onto reach the high levels, then fantastic for him and we'll always be known as the club that 'let him slip away' - but if the lad wanted to leave and had dreams of playing for other teams then fair enough. If it is just money based, then it's understandable that any young player can be turned by money but it's disappointing still.

Anyway, press conference, SAF was asked on Pogba:

Sir Alex responds to Pogba question at presser: "I can't tell you anything about that. I don't know."

I wasn't blaming the agent, I added it in as information that was reported about the deal and what has been reported that it was seemingly a factor in the decision.

What happened to fabien brandy?

Got released, bounced around a few clubs, spent a while not at a club and now plays for a Greek side.
