*** Official OcUK Minecraft Server - Discussion and Rules ***

I haven't played for quite some time due to disliking Tekkit, so is the server still running Tekkit? Last I heard there were talks of it being removed.

Tekkit is gone but we're still running several mods.

We *may* run a vanilla server alongside this one but that's a huge huge maybe right now.

NEI fixes will be comming in next launcher update.
5punk is working on that at the moment.

he has managed to fix most of them so far.
Crystal chests are a lag bomb so we will be looking to remove them for noe
dim chest are same size and work fine so far. Players will be required to change from crystal to dim ones when we go live.

Thats where all my Crystal Chests went :D - you missed one of mine though on the second floor.

I see there is a slight problem with copying red alloy wire, does that include all the redpower mods or just the wire?

we have a lot of crystal chests lol
Are admin do a 1 4 1 swap?

Ok thinking of heading back to the server after a while away, is it stable etc or you guys updating and changing things still?

It's fairly stable but as you can see from the posts above we are just about to relaunch it (with new worlds, copying builds across) with updated mods and various other fixes and changes that should both improve stability/reduce bugs and allow us to more easily update and fix issues in future without having to lose worlds.

Went on the test server briefly last night and found it really laggy, but that could have been my housemate downloading something.

It'd be great if you could confirm this either way - the server shouldn't be laggy and in general seems to be performing better than the live server.

Could you go into detail about the copying?

Some of the red alloy wire doesn't like to be copied, and the red stone signal is not updated over the copy - see the dark area of wire? This was after I went around replacing redstone torches and levers to get it to update to prevent major spawning

Various instances of wire missing on the ceiling, therefore not lighting the lamps.

Its nothing major, but some of the lighting circuits are in rather confined spaces and difficult to get too sometimes.

We won't be able to do a 1:1 swap without potentially destroying the chest contents. We'll have to rely on players to do the work of sorting this out :)

Just get players to count how many crystal chests they have, admins spawn in that amount - and then once the player has swapped out all their chests they have to return the same amount of crystal chests :)

Spawning chests we can do - what I meant is that we can't just swap out the chests automatically :)

This is really helpful. I'll point it out to the other admins :)
