*** Official OcUK Minecraft Server - Discussion and Rules ***

Not sure wether to ask ingame/linktart so i guess here will do :)
I have only just gotten the basics and dont want to mess up the move by giving you the wrong co ordinates is there anyway someone could take a look i have marked 4 corners of the build with 3 sandstone blocks and torchs on said blocks?
Hope you dont mind my asking but as i say would rather you chaps did it than me am bound to pudding it up

Ask one of the admins in game. But the easiest thing to do is for you to stand on the blocks in the corners and then press F3 and note down the coordinates. In addition, take screenshots of the structures and post all this info on linktart :)

Also, with regards to the build moves, where will they be located on the new map? All in a huddle or with similar proximity to other builds as they are on the current map?

I think players get to choose where they want it? Thats what I last heard, a mod would need to confirm.

Instead of saving structures can you pick a location and chest al materials up so i can build from scratch?

Don't see why not, but you would have to dismantle everything and place it in chests yourself.

We may allow some kind of player choosing but this will depend on how many build moves we have any how much admin overhead it will generate.

HUNTER.P is right on this one. You'll need to box up the materials yourself I'm afraid.

Ok, just trying to reconnect on my iMac after being away for a while...

I've downloaded the launcher from Linktart but when I try to connect I get: Internal exception: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset

Interestingly, when I run the .exe in the Linktart download, it launches X3! I'm surprised it does anything at all to be honest!

Anyway, the download put me on 1.3.1 which failed and an update to 1.3.2 also failed. Am I even on the right version?!

Halp :(

You should be on 1.2.5 so when you download the launcher and it asks you if you want to update, say no.

I'm not sure how others have got it running on Mac - I need to document it and put it on the site sometime. Hopefully someone will come along that can help you though.

A complete uninstall of Minecraft results in the launcher automatically downloading various things when I first log in to it, putting it to 1.3.2 without me doing anything other than clicking on the login button...

Anyone got the 1.2.5 they could send me?

i've found the video in question:

the bit about the server crash is at 11:14. a liquid unloader was taking biofuel directly into bio generators without any pipes. whenever this was loaded it crashed the server but because it was within the boundaries of a chunkloader it crashed the server instantly on restart.

hope this helps :)

looking at the mod installs for this vid looks like the mods are old versons
but will test what they put in here anyway and see how we get on.

tested this and it works fine.
the versons in the mod shown have been updated to newer ones with that issues fixed
