**LETS SEE YOUR PILEDRIVER OVERCLOCKS - LET ME START WITH 5GHz+!!**

yeah i knew the cpu wasnt much difference but i was interested in seeing gpu difference.

for bf3 to me not worth it its a piece of :p so a 7870 is about 10/15 percent faster than a 6970. this will be useful for some though.

More 5Ghz fun

No point in benching on BF3. Has been shown time and time again it is almost totally GPU dependant.

Planetside 2 however is very CPU demanding, but I am not sure you can get a fair bench on such a massive mutliplayer game?

I'm just interested as I am still using a Phenom II quad (965) and my mobo is a Sabertooth 990fx which will support PD so will be a relatively cheap upgrade once I sell the Phenom, if it is worth it.

yeah sell your cpu for 50 quid +100 quid nice upgrade for not much.

Room, CPU only. 58C max on cores, 59C on CPU.

My computer is running 5GHz 24/7 now to see if any errors occur in programs. So far so good.

Beaten my 1090T at 4.1Ghz pretty convincingly. I did the whole lot and at stock vs OC ect...

I'll make up one of those slides and post it later, right now i'm going to watch the News at 6, see if 'Dave' put his foot in his mouth again...

Full Luxmark v2 results at 5GHz - CPU only, 3 runs of each best result.

Room 311k
Sala 547k
Luxball 4257k

In same boat mate mine is solid has a rock no crashes yet and 3days in playing games and surfing net.;)

Mine too, I won't be adding to the list though just yet. Would be interesting to know how many people are adding if not 100% prime. Mine appears to be on two workers only at present. Render tests are all good though, you can tell its working through increased fan volume.

The CPU seems to get to 5GHz readily and possibly easier than the 2600k with HT. friends of mine really struggle past 4.8GHz and are definitely not prime stable.

Some settings

Thanks to those guys that have posted your settings. I found that raising VDDA to just under 2.7v (under load) helped to lower the vcore, stay stable and reduce temps slightly.

Bro's chip looks good for 5.2Ghz with a good water cooling set up.

Folks
My previous post was in jest.
I'm not prime stable at 5Ghz either.

Yeah, I got that. ;)

You can't be far off though if you can bench under 1.5vcore.

Some things are easy to run with modest vcore but X264 and P95 are not.
4.8Ghz P95 is doable if i don't worry too much about the temps.

Anyone tried running PD on the older 8x chipset boards ?
Asus bios support is a bit ropey but i might give the old M4A89GTD a go.

It works :)
No official bios support but hey when has that ever stopped anyone.
CPU is recognised as fx 8320 eight core.
