Hey wazza I can't seem to change memory frequency on Gigabyte Z77X-UP5 TH to 1600mhz which my ram is at? I did it before ,but now when I choose profile 1 it and save to exit it doesn't change to 1600mhz it stay at 1333?

Any idea why?

try a few times,sometimes the setting dont save so you have to repeat it a few times

I did it 5 times and still did'n't save... Dude that's just weird :confused:

it does seem strange,tried manually setting up the ram? set the speed to 1600mhz and set quick for timings and enter the timings,set dram to what its rated at

you can lower it if you can maintain stability

mine at load uses 1.188v-1.2v in cpu-z for 4.5ghz

just trying at 4.4 seems stable used your settings

nice one shouldn't need much overclocking that's about right

ive tried f9b,f10b and new f11a,all are fine with samsung green

ones below f9 didnt have the memory improvements so 1866mhz was the limit on that ram

ohh i forgot you had up5 th, theres new one for that board too,looks good,are your temps ok? try for 4.5ghz?

should do 4.5ghz with 1.2-1.212v ??

You might need plus offset +0.010v,medium llc

Yeah,it depends on your CPU,you might do 4.5ghz with less its up to you,best start hi'ish and lower later ?

Updated bios to f13a and all profiles working good. I can even save my ram profile. All working well so far. So my issues with the ram are gone

I only did a little OC 4.2Ghz without any voltage increases in the bios. 4.2 should do me fine. I'm really not into benchmarking that much.
