***Official Gigabyte Z77X-UP4 TH, Z77X-UP5 TH and Z77X-UP7 discussion thread***

looks good, are you stable in games? no crashes to desktop? that usually happens if you push the voltage too low

seems ok will run longer test

Please keep images to below 1280px or post in spoiler tabs as I have done for you below - Rilot

Did abit of LN2 benching this weekend while testing out the UP7. Did some Super Pi 1mb and 3D Mark 03 and Unigen with three Lightening 7970 cards. This chip has more in it for sure now I have the OC Bios for the UP7 that allows higher ranges on voltages. The UP7 performed great though no cold bug even on LN2 and rock stable in 3D apps even with high CPU overclock and many slots populated. In this session I managed to snag a top two ever score for 3D Mark 03 a top four ever score for Unigine and a top 25 score for pi 1mb with the 3770K at over 6.750ghz. The CPU has more in it too with the new bios so I try to improve this at the weekend!!!

Pics of the Rig. The first is for 1mb and 2D benches the others are with 7970 in place. I intend to bench 4 cards too on this rig in 03,05,06 and Unigine.

Can someone here give me reason to go for the Z77X - UP7 over the maximus v gene? I'm upgrading to either high end board and im torn between the two, though I'm swayed to the UP7.

What's the on board like?

alt and f10 might not work on the latest bios's

is it ok now? its not always needed anyway to have both chips running same bios, its only if your having stability issues

It would be fine for a few days. Then i would get boot problems, booting then rebooting.

No i have killed my pc. I had no choice but to turn it off. Over half an hour at 85%. Now it wont boot passed the bios screen pic. So much for duel bios. Lol

Leave the motherboard battery out for 30 minutes and then try, there's an onboard BIOS switch on that board I think so you can flick it to back up BIOS and boot from it then try reflashing BIOS to recover the main BIOS chip

@illuz what you mean onboard? Sound? Lan? It's gigabytes top board atm,a good cheaper alternative is the up5 th
