***Official Gigabyte Z77X-UP4 TH, Z77X-UP5 TH and Z77X-UP7 discussion thread***

What is the best then, overall? maximus extreme or up7? Both the same price, I just want the best!

Edit// not just sound card either, I think I'll end up getting the up7 but ill be kicking myself if the maximus extreme is better

I don't know much about the asus top end boards to be honest,I've only used a few mid range boards

The gigabyte boards do tend to be really solid for overclocking, ill have to do some reading and get back to you,I have no regrets at all with this up4 th,the ud7 can only be better with more features ect

Just to clarify mate it's the Z77X-UP7 which I'm looking at.

This one:

Ok battery out. Switch flipped.

if it boots up. Do i alt F10 to back it up.

Try reflashing the same BIOS again then flip switch and try booting from main,if no go you might have to alt and f10 from back up BIOS

Tbh I think your problems are down to sb chip, they do have issues running well compared to ib CPU on z77

Are you using latest beta BIOS?

I am using f13a, back up bios working. And is f13a. Yet I had not copied it since f11 I think it was.

I try f10 and 99% of the time it doesnt work.

So I would be better saving for a ib i5 chip.

I will try reflashing it then, flip the switch back.

Reflashed backup bios. Flipped switch, not booting. Gets to the bios screen pic, where it shows what key to hit. the goes to a blank screen and hangs. I cant get Alt F10 to work. Why they cant make a simpler system to do this.

ok I got a reply from Stasio,he says its ctrl and f10 to flash the main bios with the back up bios version, though he hasn't tested this yet

Is that is qbios or as booting.

Edit, when booting it loaded up. Went loading main bios, then loading backup bios. But it froze at 0%.

Arrgghh.

Edit.

This is the worst way to do things I have even tried.

Im thinking if my main Bios is corrupt isnt it meant to copy the backup Nios to the main Bios.
