Is the 7990 worth it?

I've been doing some thinking and while the 780 isn't worth it. So will the 7990 be the power house after the new AMD series release? I thought I heard Gibbo say that the 7990 will still be the best card?

Was thinking of get one? still thinking about it. I want one good card SLI is just crazy insane fast. Too fast for what I'm doing. I wonder if this card would fit in my Corsair Air 540?

i think its worth it, you cant get a faster single solution for 500, and you dont have the extra fans/noise of two cards.

tbh im really thinking about getting one to replace my 6990!

Retro im not even sure why you're changing from your current cards? I don't see the point. 2gb will fine for a long time, right?

So what's the need to change?

I'd hang tight and see what AMD's new card is like then go from there.

That said i can understand the interest in the 7990. £470 is bonkers for the fastest card around. You need to be aware it will likely run much hotter than your current cards though.

Obviously if the 770 SLI is too much for your needs then a 7990 is as well.

Wait and see what AMD bring out and then make a decision.

how long is the card? Also does a adapter come for HDMI? I need Dual Link DVI and HDMI?

When the new cards come out we shall increase 7990's too £600-£700 region, make of that what you will.

Surely you should have thought about this a bit more carefully before splashing out nigh on 800 quid for a couple of 770s :confused:

I have only 100 left and now that board partners have new info from AMD they won't sell them again so cheap to me, so if they start moving quick you might only have a week.

my 6990 is 12" lol and i bought my 6990 second hand but i did not get one of those, it came with a few display port adaptors

I had a Titan. It was disappointing. That's why I bought the 770 lightnings.
