I found the system lock ups were caused by core temp and windows 8.1. Seems to be a well known bug on the core temp forums. Not sure if you use that or not. I actually had no problems with the driver at all aside from the OpenCL glitch, which seems to be fixed in beta 3.

No I am using Aida64, hardware monitor and GPU-Z. I am on the eval version of Win 8 but yes I noticed it doesn't seem to like the monitoring apps.
 
Anyone having problems with the 13.11b1 drivers? I thought it was originally my 8.1 install but its definately the drivers as its the same in W7, Modern Warfare 3 won't run in crossfire, my other games do though (BF3, Rfactor,P Cars)
