Don
I've been away for three weeks, what drivers should I be using? (2 x 7970)
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
Welcoming any new drivers. Think I'm on the beta2, got a few crashes using DX and opening GPU-Z (OpenCL detection).
Oh really Matt, got the odd system lockup when idling too and the sniffing around dump files seems to be pointing to these drivers. What happened in your situations?
Should I try the Beta 3 or wait?

Tomorrow is saturday.
I found the system lock ups were caused by core temp and windows 8.1. Seems to be a well known bug on the core temp forums. Not sure if you use that or not. I actually had no problems with the driver at all aside from the OpenCL glitch, which seems to be fixed in beta 3.

saved ya a day
No I am using Aida64, hardware monitor and GPU-Z. I am on the eval version of Win 8 but yes I noticed it doesn't seem to like the monitoring apps.
Good lad.
Furry muff.
I found GPU-Z to be buggy with AMD drivers at present, if you have ULPS enabled.
For the life of me I cannot find this in the CCC - where is it?
Ahh frigging Afterburner! Gonna do that but isnt the regedit method better?

Afterburner changes it in registry. Just saves you the hassle of fiddling with it.
