First time I have used this and had a issue right away.

If I set my screen to switch of after 20mins and come back and move my mouse or press keyboard. Nothing will happen? screen remains black and in standby even a reset button dont bring it back up.
I had to hold power button and power off and on to get it back up and running.

known issue??

I have a "lite" version of this (on 13.8) where sometimes there will be a delay between moving mouse/pressing key and screen coming back to life. A fan spins up as if the whole system had been put on standby, rather than just the monitor.

...doesn't help, I know. :D

Zerocore, your 7950 went into a low state mode(fans power down)?

@Shankly, maybe it's a beta problem, I switched off standby when I started getting that problem a few betas back, but I thought it was down to a modded bios.

Os talk- W8 v W7, W8 FTW, as mentioned above, Start8 and you'll never see metro again.

Metro is getting used up in the bedroom with a MC remote, it does have it's uses, but MS shot themselves in both feet by removing the start button, a simple default metro/desktop would have saved them soooo much negative publicity.

BF4 was plain sailing apart from that loading bug.

Yer not sure how long this been going on for, only just started using it I normally just leave screensaver running "Will continue doing so"

Would be nice if other's can confirm this issue and couple us report it?

Yes im back to using the low voltage bios, well 0.850mv one and sleep is working fine here. I do have ULPS on though at the moment, not sure if that makes any difference.

I'm also using a new custom HIS 7950 bios. Super duper low voltage. Crazy low voltage. This sort of low voltage that only the mentally insane would run.

As im playing the dead space games (1-3) at the mo till BF4 gets released i don't need much gpu power at all. Currently running pure retro 7950 stock clocks. 800/1250 @1.000V. Temps barely get over 60c with the fan profile staying at about 40-45%.

Oooh...are you using the bios editor which someone posted about a few weeks ago Matt? My brother has a IceQ 7950 and the stock voltage is way high and i wonder whether a lower one might help it out...

Also does that editor allow for memory voltage editing as well??

I am using a bios which Kaboom made for me and ive now edited to suit my own needs. If he wants to try out a bios id recommend this one. 925/1250 stock clocks, voltage of 1.175v. Voltage is still massive overkill for the clocks but we (myself and tommy) wanted a one size fits all bios that everyone can use safely.

Bios download link is here.

Bios flashing guide is here.

All this info is in the HIS 7950 Ice-Q thread.
