The Note III battery is 3200mAH, that portable power thing is 2600mAH, and considering that since they charge via USB, they are at best 70-80% efficient, so in reality it'd only charge your phone to 66% of a full charge, which isn't much..

I use a 12000mAH power pack which charges the note III about 3 times from flat, which is a godsend when out and about using it heavily..

I understand it's not going to charge fully however I want to know more about quality of product as don't want to damage my note3, this charger will be used very rarely as I got spare battery and samsung battery charger too.

and as to you charger, can you give me link to in, I might consider if price is right, thanks

Got a link? Sounds a little too tempting for when I'm out camping with the scouts. Hate having the car/minibus running to charge it

Well it's made by PNY which are a reputable manufacturer in terms of the USB memory sticks they make, so it's probably not going to blow up your Note III..

But I still can't stress how it's really only an emergency only kind of thing that ends up just going flat and killing the internal battery after a few months.. I have been through 2 of these low capacity type and regretted wasting the money each time., but obviously you need to make your own mind up.

I've been through a few power banks, and so have friends, so last year I plumped for a higher quality Anker unit, which can uber fast charge, and seems to deliver the 12000mAh it proclaims, but was £35, however it has a cool hidden LED Ring, which obviously makes it worth it.. LOL
Here (It also reviews very well indeed, and I can only echo many of the comments).. I'm sure there are cheaper units that work just as well, but this is the fastest charging one I've ever come accross.

battery life on this thing is amazing

been listening to music at work, downloading podcasts before work, a bit of web browsing, google maps, and all sorts, then further spotify listening this evening

screen time over 7 hours - still 50% battery :)

Likewise, very impressed with my Floureon 14,000mAh

end of my first day of usage

15 hr 3m on battery - 46% left - I'm impressed

Totally agree, the battery is exactly what people expect from a smart phone..

Mine was pretty much on standby since yesterday, just 2 mins of screen on time, Better Batter Stats says, 16h41m 100%->96%, 0.2% per hour..

The battery will drain quicker the more accounts you have syncing of course and if you have GPS/BT enabled (even if not active) - The latter is a weird one but I imagine it's Google's Android location polling services (not Google Now) hence the increased drain.

Still, it's good.

Seven hours screen time has used half of your battery?! Surely not. That's just too good!

ok perhaps read it a bit wrong

overall:

1 day 8 hours 15 mins

screen on time 35%
idle time 4%

email was checking for emails every x minutes, I did lots of RSS syncs, some web-browsing, lots of spotify, and this morning downloaded a load of podcasts

so overall very impressed - literally more than double what I'd get out of my Iphone 4

Got a link, can't seem to find it?

Was instore the other day and they never mentioned it.

...They have an 'ad' on the wall mentioning it but when we asked the sales girl she said that it was a 'from £32.99' not necessarily 'at £32.99'. We weren't that bothered about a free gift just wanted the deal itself but when she came to put the order through on screen 2 options appeared at that price, one with the free tab and one without :D

128GB SD should be here tomorrow, got dispatch email earlier. Storage space and power. Note 3 has it in droves!

Just ordered one of these. Anybody recommend a good case for it?

Have to say I like the S-Cover, and bought one pretty much straight-away for my N3. Not really bothered with cases on previous handsets, but the S-Cover took my fancy and has been perfectly decent at its job :)

I'll hang on till Saturday before ordering when I'm in town. Seen it on T-Mobile for £32, which is incredible as I use it for my BT wifi too (comes free) so that saves me £16pm. So I'm getting it for £16 a month if I wasn't through T-Mobile.
