I'm installing the seperate 2k texture packs, installed the first one and when I try to install the second one I get a message saying that the mod seems to be installed already. It asks if I want to add files from this archive (overwrite existing ones) or it asks if I want to completely replace the existing files.
Anyone know what would cause performance to slowly drop after playing for about half an hour? I normally run at a solid 60fps and it just depreciates until it annoys me and I relog.
That kind of crash usually means you are missing a master file that a mod needs. So you need to go through each .esp that your mods have added, and check what master files (.esm) they need.

MO will usually tell you if there is a missing master when you scroll through your plugins list (the right hand panel). Also, did you use LOOT to sort your load order?
If you still have problems you need to just activate each mod one by one until you find the one causing the crash.
Can I ask how those of you using SLI get on with Skyrim + ENB + a crapload of mods?
I've googled & asked on a couple of other forums, opinions seem to differ ... on the one hand you've the gent you created ENBs & saying ENB "does not support SLI" (if I understand it correctly) & I've seen pictures of bad effects (multiple splashes) on water when using SLI, on the other some people say SLI works nicely/is good.

Works fine on my setup. See sig. I do occasionally get the weird water ripple thing but it's rare and you can normally get rid of it by going away and coming back if need be.
With enb and all the effects on, and all the mods, you NEED SLI as far as I'm concerned. Unless you find gaming at 30 fps acceptable.
I'm not sure about that - I have ENB and a lot of mods too and find it to be very smooth on a single GTX 970... Though I do have the depth-of-field turned off in the ENB so maybe that's a factor
To install : Start your skyrim launcher, set all to ultra, BACK UP both ini files! Overwrite your existing ini's with the Ewis enhanced ini files and use my Skyrim edits below. Make sure to read through both files to make sure that they are set correctly. Then set the skyrimprefs.ini to "read only". right click your skyrim.ini, properties, click read-only.

"player.forceav carryweight xxxx" example = player.forceav carryweight 5000. I can confirm this one works, I also tried two other codes for this previously which were "player.setav carryweight x" and "player.modav carryweight", they both worked in-game but once you quit out and logged back in they no longer worked, so "player.forceav carryweight xxxx" is the only code that actually works and sticks.
"FOV 95" Use the console command and type "FOV 95" for a fov of 95, or any number you wish. Make sure to save afterwards so it sets it every time!

STEP GUIDE
For those that don't wish to use my mod list and prefer something else, then try the step guide
Created by TheCompiler, STEP is a collaborative project with input from the modding community, technical volunteers, and project administrators. The goal is to provide tested and validated methods for establishing and maintaining an enhanced modded Skyrim. Thus, the Guide provides detailed, well-tested build instructions for a solid modding template. New modders can follow STEP explicitly, or more experienced modders may use it as general guide.
UPDATE : SKYRIM MEMORY PATCH - ( NOT NEEDED ANYMORE, USE SKSE ALPHA)
You can now download an already updated and patched dll ("Memory Allocation Patch") if you don't want to compile one yourself. Patches Skyrim engine memory allocation to allow for larger reserved blocks, to eliminate a remaining cause of ILS/CTD issues that ENBoost didn't handle. Replaces the Safety Load plugin for SKSE.
Download-Unpack to main skyrim folder and overwrite previous!
Sometimes due to so many mods certain save games can corrupt which means they wont load when Skyrim is started up from the get go. I've found the best way around this is by starting a new game, saving that then loading the corrupted save. Whenever you load Skyrim again, load the fresh new game save then load the corrupted one, this will fix the crashing
Make sure that you are not forcing AF, either through your Driver Control Panel or using RadeonPRO (Application Preference Only). I've found through testing that this can cause saved games not to load and you will crash to desktop! To use AF, go into your Skyrimprefs.ini file, located in Documents/My games/Skyrim and set iMaxAnisotropy=16. You might also be able to manually set this in an enbseries.ini if you are using any ENB's
2. Click a "Fix all #->" button to remove all scripts, that are detected as orphan.
It can take a while if there is lots of them.
3. Click "FixScriptInstances", it removes all orphan script instances.
4. Push Save button -> overwrite.. -> yes (only if you have a backup)
Load a save in game, and save it again. Now it should be fully cleaned.
Re-saving removes script names etc.
You can safely remove all other folders and files created by third party applications, FXAA injectors/ENB configs, etc.
2) The only essential folders in Skyrim/Data are Interface, Strings and Video.
The rest are added with mods and scripts so you can safely delete them.
Since some mods can modify files in Interface and Strings folders, I recommend to remove them all and recover afterwards, the files are small in size anyway.
You can safely remove all other files and folders.
3) Documents/My Games/Skyrim includes your save games (make a backup!) and two config files, SkyrimPrefs.ini and Skyrim.ini.
Remove these files and let the game rebuild them on launch.
After you've gone through these steps, launch Steam, right click on Skyrim, go to Properties, Local Files and Verify Integrity of Game Cache.
Once the game has finished downloading any remaining or broken files, you're done, your game is as good as after a fresh install!
Clean Save
How to Do a Clean Save
Some mods require a clean save when you uninstall them or when you upgrade to a newer version.
Follow these steps:
1.) It is generally best to go to an interior cell, and smaller cells are best. An interior cell is apparent because you have a loading screen when you "open" the door from the outside (such as when you enter most buildings).
2.) Save your game to a new save slot (do not overwrite an earlier save) and quit the game.
3.) Uninstall the mod.
4.) Start the game and load your last saved game.
5.) After the game full loads, make a SECOND new save (do not overwrite an earlier save) and quit the game.
6.) If you're upgrading the mod that you uninstalled, you can now install the new version.
7.) Start the game and load your previous saved game.
8.) Just to be safe: make one more new save (do not overwrite an earlier save).
9.) That's it!
guys I might have just remembered something I did to get my crossfire working 100% and have perfect DOF and constant 60fps godliness everywhere. Give it a go, hopefully it was your missing piece to the puzzle
I renamed my TES5.exe to Fear.exe
Then in Data/SKSE I made a change to my SKSE.ini config. I put this in "[Loader]
RuntimeName=Fear.exe"
then launch the game via the skse_loader and voila
Didn't work for me, alas Probably something I or you have changed in our respective settings that differs.
Cheers though
ED: Just to add, I tried it with and without targeting the fear profile in ccc. Either way resulted in slightly less than single card fps with pause menu flicker.
no need to target specific profiles in CCC, it should pick that up by default.
I'm trying to think what else I've done lol. I did try quite a few profiles, think someone said they use GW2 as well which worked really well. But yeah, it might also be something to do with the other enb injections I have done.
also, if you get flickering in the menu try to change the "ForceFakeVideocard" value in the enblocal.ini to either false or true. (opposite of what you have) mine is on false and I get no flicker.
The oblivion name change has sorted out the flickering, but I'm not seeing much in the way of improved fps in certain spots.
Not to worry mate, I'm fairly ok with it dropping here and there tbh. Not ideal, but bearable
