Yeah I think you are right, I will be rooting etc, I suppose £80 now will be forgotten in a couple of weeks :p

Reet, off to order I go, wonder if the French can deliver quicker than their German cousins? :D
 
Should arrive by Friday?

You may already know but remember to root first before setting up. Unlocking the boot loader wipes the device.

I updated to 5.1 then did it.

In general the DPI is fine with me. I want to tweak a few apps.

I have replaced the stock dialer and SMS as they were pap. And stuttery too.
 
Has anyone else had issues trying to get always on "Ok Google" to work?

When I enable it, I'm told to train the device by saying "Ok Google" three times whilst holding the phone away from me. Yet I never seem to be able to get it to recognise my first attempt, let alone the 2nd or third.

It randomly throws one of the following errors:
  • Couldn't catch that, try being more clear
  • There was too much background noise
  • You're speaking too slowly, try speeding up

I'm in a quiet room and I've tried speaking at a different tempo, but nothing works. Occasionally it will tell me it has understood me but there might be issues and I can either click accept and move onto attempt number two, or click cancel.

Any ideas? :confused:

Is the mic hole the little one on the back, towards the bottom?

I find the "OK Google" to wake very hit and miss, which is making me believe that telling Google to accept the first voice sample that it has flagged as suspect isn't a great idea. Yet I can't get it to accept it any other way :confused:
 
Just ordered the Nexus 6 64GB in blue but got it from the Spanish jungle river place instead as its cheaper, £449 with conversion fees and delivery, not bad eh! :)

Will be here start of next week at the latest :cool:

I always like the look of those style cases but I'm too paranoid that I'll drop it and it'll hit the screen, so I tend to go for the full case style. I bought a Stilgut Full Leather case with clip in brown at the same time as my phone as it's €29.99 vs £29.99 so save about £8 buying it from the Spanish jungle river place than the .uk site :)
