Ah, shame, I'm going to remove encryption I think anyway, be even quicker![]()
Go for it. The process wipes the device so best do it from the out set after root.

I saw no difference in taking of encryption.
Am I safe from nasties etc.. as long as I lock the bootloader after rooting etc... or does having root expose me as well?
I don't know if you can relock the bootloader and keep root.
And regarding nasties, keep your nose clean and you'll be aite![]()
Nice.
Which colour did you got for? will you be installing OTA or via fastboot?
Haha you've themed your recovery!?
Yeah the blue has grown on me a lot. Goes well with my case.
Have you chosen a custom recovery?
I went for TWRP.
I'd recommend just leaving the bootloader unlocked. The amount of bricked devices over on xda due to:
-Option for bootloader unlock must be enabled in device administrator for it to work.
-If something that breaks it from booting you can't access that option. As a result, you can't then unlock the bootloader to fix it with a flash (tends to only be an issue if you're not running a custom recovery)
TWRP is what I use too - just with a lollipop theme!
Franco r27 is out. A few security and battery improvements. Will flash it tonight.
Been running it since yesterday and all is well. Only minor changes, the kernel is very nicely developed already.
I'm getting an hr of wakelocks over a 17hr day, so I hope r27 makes an improvement.
The battery also dropped 10% overnight last night (11hrs) while doing nothing. Even turned the data off.
Battery info pinpointed for the wakelocks so potentially room for improvement.
