And now the question I ask everyone: how are the speakers?

Speakers are one of the main reasons I kept the Nexus 6 over the Note 4. I listen to a lot of podcasts and sometimes have to actually turn the volume down as it's just too loud.

Also, calls on speakerphone sound very good.

I need a new phone mate, not buying iPhone as I'm sick of its lack of flexibility or ability to even upload to the cloud in the background! I fancy a nexus 6 as the z3 compact is back to full price now and its not the bargain it was at £240.

If you're another vaper I'm seeing too much vaping tonight! I miss it! I just fancied trying a nexus 6. I'd have ordered a n5 but you can't get one new anymore!

I fully understand where you're coming from Mate. The Missus had a iphone5 and was tied to Apple for ages but when she saw what I was able to do on my phone that was it she moved over to the Z3C and is happy as she can be.

Unfortunately the Z3C won't go down in price to £240 again for a while and the cheapest I've seen it for is £290 from Rainforest.

Luckily I'm not a vaper I actually detest smoking! They're everywhere though a bit like a plague!
There's a few more Android devices coming out with the G4 being announced in 2 weeks time so you might want to hold fire on buying a new device.

Okay we're off to a good start then, the speakers are loud. Are they also good-sounding? Good bass, good mids, good highs?

One of my favourite things about HTC phones are that the speakers kick ass.

I'd say the speakers are better for movies/podcasts/tv shows than what my M7 was but the M7 was way ahead for music.

Franco kernel & his app has tonnes of options too!

There is an unofficial version of xposed but I haven't bothered with it yet.

Thanks Mattey.

Have you played with the CPU voltages and Governor? Worthwhile?

EDIT: Had a camera app update today (from Dec). It has improved the video focus issue I had of overshooting. Works well now.

The governor that Franco uses is different from stock and is really good, no need to play around with different ones. I've left my voltages stock but many undervolt it a bit.

Yeah I always said no to having a Galaxy Note because of the size, but with this, the strengths of the phone make me forget about the size. Love the design, screen and stock Android.

I haven't tested the camera really, I will do over the next few days. I did have a camera update yesterday so I'm upto date software wise now.

looks like im getting me a Nexus 6 32Gb :)

my Z3 is going to my cousin

Will run it stock for a while see how it goes, came from a Note 4 to a Z3 so size isnt an issue.

In good conditions the camera is fantastic combined with the screen. Very impressive.

Not too sure on low light pictures but not played around enough.

I read somewhere that the N6 is a whole lot better with the latest software update, any truth to this?

What are the remaining shortfalls of it now?
