What is touchwiz?
Download "Appops", and go to device and google play services, then tick off "Keep Awake", that will have a massive effect on your battery life.
What exactly will this do and how much battery improvement would you expect to gain?
More updates on the way:

If it's a design quirk I'm happy, as it works when pressed centrally and I can adapt. But if it's a dodgy button on my particular handset my OCD won't let me keep it considering what it's costing me over two years! Please would you guys try it out and let me know?![]()

I can click mine from any position. Works fine.

Is a new name required?
Thanks for replying.I've just gotten handset #3 and the guy in CPW was hugely rude and arrogant. He refused to even look at me or the new handset when I saw it had what seemed to be a chip in the metal, and said 'You will never get one without at least a single chip or fault in it, just take it.' and he walked away!
I should add that CPW overall have been the most positive experience I've had for phones. They are courteous, offer generally no fuss exchanges and offered a great rate with cash back.
At least you got a replacement. Still sounds like poor service to me though, being arrogant and then walking away!? I wont be using them anytime soon.
Anyone know of a way of ensuring that that handset I buy (want to get it off-contract) would definitely have the Sony sensor?

I know I'm being ridiculously fussy, but I only want the Sony sensor. I actually already bought a handset from EE (£509.99) and returned as it had the ISOCELL sensor.
I'm now thinking that buying second hand (gumtree/ebay) might be the only option that would enable me to check and still be able to send it back (obviously in the case of gumtree, I'd just check before I bought).
Any ideas?
You know the performance is pretty much identical with the Samsung one actually being better in some cases right?Anyone know of a way of ensuring that that handset I buy (want to get it off-contract) would definitely have the Sony sensor?

How did you return it to EE? They don't do returns on pay and go.
