*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

Depends on what you class as a scratch - my S4 hasn't been in a case and is 2 years old. It lives in my pocket with my keys and the glass front is fine as long as you don't class the tiny micro scratches that you can't see unless you have a microscope as scratches :)

Only takes one take where you put your phone down on some debris or place in a pocket with sand or something similar and it's scratched, best intentions aside it's easily done.

If you don't sratches yet your either very lucky or you may need glasses. :p

How are you finding the crystal case? Reviews of clear cases on Amazon mention you get a oil smudge effect between the case and the back of the phone. Have you found this?

No it's fine. It's got a raised pattern on the inside back so it doesn't all make contact with the back of the phone. It's quite subtle but it stops the smudge effect and actually looks quite good too. I've also a matte rear protector on so it's a bit more grippy when not in a case, but this doesn't have any affect on the case.

I put my Nexus 5 face down all the time (when I don't want distractions) and it's still in pristine condition, including the all-glass front.

Cases I can understand, as you're adding protection from clumsiness and/or adding grip, but a screen protector won't stop a screen from cracking and I honestly don't think it's necessary in protecting from scratches with the flagships of today. Unless you work in a particularly sandy area or something it almost takes effort to scratch a 2014/2015 smartphone.

If you're looking for an S6, £499 at EE is hard to beat. Though this requires a £10 topup. BUt apparently the top up can be used to unlock it.

just phoned my local ee, have them in stock and will get it later but he spouted some thing that you have to wait 6 months to unlock it im currently on a three sim

Hmmm, according to this site:

http://kenstechtips.com/index.php/how-to-unlock-your-iphone-from-o2-and-orange#EE_Orange_T-Mobile

"As of December 2014, EE has removed the requirement to have used your handset on Pay As You Go for more than 6 months (the six month requirement now only applies to Pay Monthly customers). They have also removed the original owner requirement for customers unlocking their phone on Pay As You Go. Prior to March 2015, EE also charged customers £20.42 to unlock their iPhone."

Also note that if you buy an EE phone you can return it within 14 days if you aren't happy with the network coverage (assuming you aren't a current customer). That's what I did.
