Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Had a call from Drive the Deal today which was unexpected as I looked into prices of Mk7 ST a couple of months ago and never heard back from them at the time.

Offered:

£3,000 deposit
£121.14 per month x24
Optional final payment £8,901.00

No additional fees.

No idea if that's good, bad or in the middle but I'll probably stick to looking for a Mk6 for now!

That's a cracking deal, as the interest rate on 2 year Ford Options is still 0.9%. I'm nearly coming to the end of my term and I wish I was paying those rates when I went through DTD

You'd be mad to stick to a Mk6!

I'm not sure I quite understand the whole finance thing though (never really looked into it before as I always intended to buy a car with cash.

If I didn't pay the balloon payment is it not identical to leasing?

Need to do my research, I would love a mk7 but I've no intention of getting swamped in finance when I've easily for the cash for something like a mk6

Don't get a car on finance if you're planning on getting a mortgage without paying the finance off first as it will have a negative impact on it.

You looking at Peron Stage 1+? Seems like a good kit that and at a killer price.

On that note and having totted up my finances I'm now looking seriously at Mk7s (with the view of keeping it for a long time).

The question now is new or used? 2-3 year old ones are about £11,000
Best quotes through Carwow:-

ST-2 Spirit Blue with Cruise Control - £16,400 cash / £15,700 finance

I can't remember what the exact spec was for this DTD quote (seeing as I enquired near the start of the year!) but I will give them a call to check.

Is the optional final payment figure going to be the same figure as the GFV or do they differ? A 66 plate ST in 2 years time is going to be worth more than £8,900...

I've got up to £5k to use as a deposit realistically so is this even the best option? I don't know

Still cant decide whether to keep my 2010 Cupra or change to an ST or Audi A3 Quattro.

Anyone have experience of this versus the Audi A3 Quattro?

Which Audi A3 and which Fiesta ST?

Two very different cars, if you want comfort and decent build get the A3. If you want something to blast around A roads in and don't mind a cheap plastic interior go for the Fiesta.

The A3 3.2 Quattro and the Fiesta ST2 or ST3. (New shape ones)

Either that or a Volvo C30 T5 with Polestar Tune

Yea the A3 is Focus Sized. The Fiesta is closer to the A1. Maybe a little bigger.

Im in the same boatt, going to drive and look at an audi a3 quatro and fiesta st3.

I suppose the same question is what is the current trade in value of a 2 year old ST-2?

Someone drove into my car

finished golf this afternoon and had the game of my life. Got back to the car to find a scuff and scratches down the wing and a chunk out my alloy. Devastated

certainly put a downer on the day.

Nope nothing and no CCTV either. Scumbags! Not sure whether to go down the insurance route or not yet. Will have to get some quotes

I'm going to hopefully test drive an ST3 later. Anything in particular I should be looking for? Might hold out for 6 months or so and get as new as I can but I want to see how the ride is.
