Mine arrived this morning!

@Kered_Dub Just use Parcel Motel. Worked for me. They went to the Northern Ireland address and then down to me in the south.

Yeah two weeks after the water blocks. Bloody stupid as you will have to strip your card and loop down twice or wait.

Do you know if you can have the original (what's with the aircooler) backplate mounted with the water block?

Cant make my mind up on the waterblocks.

If past Maxwell blocks results are to go by

EK cools the core by 1 degree better than the Aquacomputer but the Aquacomputer cools the vrm by 2 two degrees better!

The Aqua is £10 cheaper but will be another weeks wait.

The active backplate for the aqua gives you another degree or two extra cooling on the VRMs.

The Aqua is better made.

Now is it worth the extra weeks wait is the question?

It says you cant on EKs site however previous cards you could use the Nvidia backplate if you used different screws.

VRM's are going to get toasty with a change of bios and more volts but 2 degree's isn't here or there, which looks the best?

one or two degree delta isnt to be sniffed at!

On that basis that's the difference between the best and the worst waterblocks anyway

Remember, depending on your waterloop having another degree or two delta can make a massive difference to the final temp of your core and vrms.

EK with backplate was 6 degree delta on vrm on 980ti

Aqua with backplate is only 3 degree with active backplate (4 degree with normal)

That's double the cooling performance. No idea what this might equate to in the difference in final vrm temps and will be dependant on your loop.

The downside is the core delta.

On the 980ti the ek block gives you a delta of 7.86 degrees and the aqua is only 8.97 degrees on the core.

The big question though, which is going to be better for bigger overclocks? Cooler core or cooler vrms?????
