Ram hardly makes any difference in speed in games, only some benchmarks.

Im running at 3200 now and was 2400 and no noticeable difference.

For Skylake CPU's, RAM speed does make a difference in many games.

Haha same

. Tested stable on air then straight to water.

I think of blocks and such as a luxury. I don't take them into consideration when buying GPU's. If I take a loss on them then no problem. Having them on water is just far nicer. Don't think I could go back to air now

You guys tested your card on air first? Oops mine came out of the box and got a waterblock on before it even went inside my case

Always, at least I then can say its not my fault if the card dont work

. Nothing worse than wondering if you killed it or not.

Always test first with stock cooler to make sure it's not a lemon

I would rather not know. Then I don't feel guilty when I submit my warranty claim

I always test on air first to make sure it works - does not hurt to do this, and then you know for sure it works or not.

I was been lazy. I would have to strip my old loop down, take out the cards, rebuild loop to cpu only, test, strip down again, build new loop.

Totally agree this is why i go straight to water right out the box, however it is sensible to test on air first for lemon purposes lol although its a pain when you have a custom loop setup. Take and the risk and **** it i say lol

Faulty card whether on water or air is going to get you a replacement so dont matter really.

never go straight to water , prefer to just close loop of on cpu and test / bench card air. Be a right pain in the ass to install new loop and block only to find it doesent work , just waste of time

I'm after some advice guys, should I sell my water cooled sli maxwell Titans and buy a single Titan x p. I recently got an oculus rift and seeing as vr doesn't utilise the second card at all I'm wondering if I would be better off with the single card. I would like to be able to max project cars and dirt rally and maybe even use super sampling to improve the visuals, thanks in advance

Pretty much what i did mate, I'm more than happy with the single T XP, gotta be under water imo
