Roy Keane retires

Just thought.
Lets settle this once and for all.

Yes or No answers. No buts, or maybes, or half answers. Just Yes/No.

G|mp, if you can, answer this as well as your a United fan.

Q: In your heart of hearts, being completely honest with yourself and putting any 'loyalty' aside, do you or do you not, think that Keane deserves his place in Uniteds team for the last 2 seasons. Not taking into account lack of decent replacement.

Yes/No anwers only.

Im gonna answer no.

?
No changes on either wiki. That and wikipedia have started moderating all their articles for correctness.

##EDIT##
I see that you've edited the FIFPro Wiki.
Well done. Way to try and prove a point by messing up a website. How very responsible of you. :o
Hows about this then: http://www.fifpro.org/index.php?mod=one&id=14393

Because of lack of replacments to do the same role.

Do you want to make your mind up

I messed up the website to prove to you anyone can add thier own view to
wikipedia it should not be used as a factual referance for this very fact

I shall now put you precious Maldini back in the squad

Try not to shed to many tears in the meantime

:) That's the funniest thing I've seen in ages. :) lol

Everyone will agree Keane was not the same player in his last few years, but....please listen...there was no better player in his position in the Man Utd squad to replace him during the last 3 years and there still isn't. Not Keane's fault at all. He was just as influential as he was before, won us many games but unfortunately in the end injuries took over and he played less and less. He still bossed Gerrard and Vieira whenever we played Arsenal or Liverpool in his 'old' age and brought a lot of experience to the team. Like a lot of players even when they are past their best will continue to play, call it selfish but it happens. Was Keane supposed to turn around to Ferguson and say stop playing me, play the guys you just bought there, Djemba Djemba, no actually play Kleberson, no wait play Fletcher, better still play O'Shea....

It's evident from his autobiography that even from the beginning of 2001 he was asking Ferguson to bring in new blood, Ferguson did, but it was bad blood and had to be poured into a drain and crapped on. Keane knew he was not the same player and even back then after winning so many trophies knew that the only way forward was to find replacements for the aging players, himself included. He was frustrated for years at Old Trafford and watching the team get complacent royally ticked him off. Hence his infamous mutv interview.

Grow up. Ive already posted the FIFPro link.
Make my mind up? Your the one who decided to do more than a yes/no, saying that you'd have prefered him there. I concluded that you were going on that based upon lack of replacements. Theres nothing at all for you to confuse there. Yet you choose to.

Read my post you imbecile

You said "Not taking into account lack of decent replacement."

So i answer your question and you reply with

"Because of lack of replacments to do the same role."

Now do you see where i got confused

True, but if he had realised that he cant keep up the level that he used to, what stopped him retiring, or telling SAF that he cant play 100% every game.
As you've said, its not his fault. But the situation wasnt helped was it?

But the problem im having here, is that like all United fans, people are getting hung up on the incorrect opinion that im slating him and making asumptions from that point outwards.
I cant argue that he was one heck of a player, but i can argue that he has been borderline awful lately.

Is this the maturity now? Dropping the level to insults. Well done.

I said yes/no only. You answered, yes but.
But your 'but' obviously took into account the thing i said that shouldnt be taken into account.
Theres nothing to get confused about as far as im concerned there.

Says the saint there eh? No-ones perfect. Despite opinions otherwise.

I asked you politely a simple question. Yet that for some reason beyond me, wasnt able to be completed by yourself. You can call it what you want as far as im concerned.

And yes i did insult you please feel free to report it, the way your going
i will be banned by tonight anyway
The way im going? Whats that ment to mean? If anything.
Ive never reported anyone in my time here at OCUK and i dont intend to start now.
Becides, you'd never get banned over something like this anyway.

Im still wondering why you continue to be this awkward with me. Ive taken notice of your last complaint in an effort to smooth things over, yet despite a period of about a month where everthing was fine, you've slipped back into old habbits, even if i rarely mention certain subjects outside of where i feel its necessary.
Thankfully, ive ceased caring.

Are you saying i wouldnt get banned for insulting you?

Dont tempt me
I still wont report you as i dont think that it solves anything.
If i have a problem with you, or other members, i confront them about it. Its the best way imo.

I see that another member of the sport brigade has arrived. :p

I think it'd be better if we left this subject of 'discussion' now.
I dont think either people from either viewpoints on Keane will concede tbh.
Call it losing it you want G|mp. ;)

Haha, this is quite amusing now. Boom you're missing the point and getting hung up on your own inflated opinions.

In answer to your question, yes he did deserve his place in the team these last few years. I'd rather have had Gerrard in there, but from our squad, definately.

I ask you this question in return, who would you have played instead of Keane?
