Taken from here

Even if the 1.4 patch is out tonight, there will be thousands of people down loading the patch. So the down load speed will drop to like having a dial up modem ! ! ! !
The last patch 1.3 i down loaded at work while i was working. Still took nearly 3 hours !

Anyone noticed it says 1.4 Final patch. Probably means final rather than Beta rather than Final as in no more patches but who knows ?

^^ :D
I was to excited. Although this nurfing of prone to crouch is scarey, i hope it don't have a bad effect on trooping as that is pretty much all i do these days.

Hmm, i wouldn't be so sure about downloading that 1.4 patch before EA make an official announcement its out. That could be a leaked patch.

People are already reporting connection problems, not sure if that's because the servers aren't patched yet or the main issue still exists :(

Multiplay haven't patched there servers fully yet, they are still in the process.

They wouldn't update them until it was official by EA to use the server side patch.
