OZONE 3D SOFT SHADOWS BENCH

1gb single channel ram and only 2.8ghz is hindering my score a bit methinks

Ok, Scougar was right, it was running at 500/594, it seems the card doesn't recognise the benchmark as being 3D. Used ATITool to set the clocks to default 3D (621/900) and I got 3067.

Got 3348 or something when upping core speed to 700, but it doesn't like being clocked any higher, and the memory won't budge at all.

Perfect example of how threads serve to help exchange knowledge aswell as create a bit of healthy competition. :)

Not really, some drivers do better in certain apps than others, its a fact. :)
yes I guess you're right, and now with all available nvidia drivers, it's a headache to find the right forceware.

wow, really looks like nv spanks ati's bot bot in this particular test. ive always wondered why graphics cards can differ so much to be honest with some tests being close, where as others can be miles off.

Quick run without really pushing anything - just rebuilt my PC and cooling on the GPU needs some re-arranging...

Rroff, try the forceware 91.31 ;)
I used the following settings in nvidia cp: Hardware acceleration to Single Display performance mode and Multi-GPU performance mode to Alternate frame rendering.

Think the list needs to be updated. Damien is using an Nvidia not an ATi card (his is coloured in red not green as it should be). Paracelsus stormed ahead for ati cards with 3450 as well!! Impressive score, well done dude :) Obviously I'm gonna have to push mine a bit harder

Haha, cheers. I think the ram speed doesn't matter, it's only really gone up with the GPU speed. I reckon with the fan on 100% beforehand for a few minutes, maybe the card can run it stable at 720+mhz, but I'm not gonna try, I only just bought the sucker :p

Suprised at the 2900XT not doing better? Maybe they use 2D clocks too?

Upped the voltage and tried 715/955 but score was 32xx. So went to try 715/100 and got to 90 percent complete then crashed lol. Didn't notice a major improvement in the frames though so Prob about the same score.

This is where my x4 pci-e slot is letting me down :(

Think I have corrupted the drivers again as the scores have dropped off by about 100 points, and as windows boots up, there monitor switches off briefly (as it did last time after a few crashes trying to better my score lol).

Will do another reinstall and see what happens :)
