Basic premise : another poster asks for an explanation about a subject which you then reply to.

The caveat : you must have no genuine knowledge of the subject and you must not consult wikipedia or anything similar. Just express your gut feel or educated guess on whatever the subject is.

An example : traffic light timings. I think they're set by transport planners and are maybe reviewed yearly to ensure that traffic flow and the timing of the lights are running smoothly. They might also be automatic, in the sense that they adapt to traffic situations such as congestion or accidents. I have literally no idea if any of that is true.

So, someone tell me about ... building an office block. How is it done?

Remember, you must absolutely not know anything of substance about the subject. Just give your thoughts.

What are hiccups, exactly?

Trapped wind needing an escape?

Isn't this what the entire forum is for?

You know, I was thinking this as I typed my post. Everyone here already talks authoratively about things they have absolutely no clue about. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea.

But anyway, office blocks. Anyone?

The shell of office blocks are designed and built, big for sale signs are put up, then future tenants have a look around and make requests for the interior design, builders then do the work.

Who designed the first ever smiley and why?
