Corsair Hydro H50, 60 or 70...

I'm using one of the sys headers at 50% for fan two but have got one of these on order - Akasa AK-CB002 PWM Fan Splitter Cable so that they can both run of the CPU header.

You could get a splitter so both fans would run off the same connector I think.

Cheers, I'll look into those if I feel the SA is too loud at 100%-50%. I have 1 CPU header and 4 Sys_fan headers but I can only control two of the Sys_Fan headers :(.

I did order it from OCUK but didn't see any mention of an additional fan.

They were running a promotion - if you entered a code during tcheckout you could get an additional apache fan free...

Try the after sales forum - if you're prepared to pay the postage for the fan (and the promotion is still running) they 'may' send you out the additional fan, if you explain that you overlooked the promotion but would have used it had you seen it etc...

No guarantees of course, and OcUK are under no obligation, but it's probably worth a polite enquiry...

The splitter is the best option and if you have a neat, braided cables and an organised case there are splitters out there that will compliment that look - google (i may mention these in the 'OcUK suggestion forum' as they are far neater).''

The fans at 50%, for me, are silent plus they keep my system under 60 (when hot) even under heavy load.

Not too bothered about braided cables, there's no side window on my case. Well of course it's going to cool your CPU that well, you couldn't power a fan LED on the voltages you're getting :p.

As for the apache fan, I'm sure that deal was on for a few weeks and wasn't just a weekly deal unless they kept putting it in there every week.

Admittedly, i have a gem of chip - but even if i didn't i would have upped my threshold to 70 degrees ;)

Yes it was, but if it has been removed (i have no idea) it would probably coincide with a Wednesday cleansing - which unfortunatley for Butcher was yesterday.

In contrast mine requires around 1.33/1.34v for 4.5 GHz. I don't mind too much though since the benifits from the extra 300-500MHz are minimal and the SA will still adequately cool my CPU.

I challenge you to drop your clock 0.1GHz and test the minimal voltage required.

You would miss 100Mhz even less ;)

My voltages soared, in relative comparison to 1.19V, when i try 4.5GHz...

Might just try that when I get my SA (Hopefully tomorrow). Running at stock at the moment on the stock cooler :p.

Its a nice piece of kit and you can make it silent and still perform extremely well by adding a akasa apache black fan to it (which is what I did)
I realised when I was fitting my new PSU and graphics card that I've already got a 120mm Akasa AK-183-L2B Amber Ultra Quiet sitting just below the PSU where the H60's radiator and fan will go so if the H60's fan is too noisy I can just swap it with that. :)

I've just returned an H60, terrible noise from the water pump. It was louder than all my fans, all my hard-drives, and I could hear it downstairs through the floor.

Corsair said to RMA it. I've got the H80 instead now.

Been playing Torchlight for the past few hours and the system seems nice and stable at 4GHz/1.185 Vcore. :)

Pathetic amount of paste that it comes with. :o

You do get a lot of space with the H series - you still get to see your memory and MOFSETs.

My pics before i had got my hands on the compressed air and tidied up cables...
