Corsair Hydro H50, 60 or 70...

It's the Siver Arrow - largest cooler i've ever worked with.

A bugger to fit (i.e. getting the MB in the case once it's attached) - but once it's in the results are very good - and more importantly, quiet.

Update on H60 / H80. The panhead-screws that Corsair supply to fit the heatsink/radiator don't work in the rear 120mm fan slot of Antec P183 case (assume the same with P182, but I've not checked that yet).

The fan on the Antec P182 is factory fitted with countersunk standard fan-screws, but when replaced with a panhead, it stands proud and prevents the side-panel from sliding shut.

Options seem to be to make small cut-outs on the side panels edge, or try and fit counter-sunk screws. I think the hole cut-out on the metal case is too large for a 6-32 UNC counter-sunk screw (the thread that goes into Corsair radiator), so would just slide through.

Fitted two 6-32 UNC counter-sunk screws at the back of the 120mm fan in the P183, and the side-panel slides shut now.

H60 pump started making a rattling noise last night. I've checked everything else in there and the noise is definitely coming from the pump.

It sounds like there's something stuck in the block.

^ Could this have anything to do with the way I've fitted the pump block?

Every picture I've seen of the H60 has the block fitted so that the hoses come out of the right-hand side. I fitted mine with the hoses coming out of the top.

Although I'm not sure I had any choice as I think (and the picture above seems to confirm this) that, if I had the hoses coming out of the side, they'd hit a couple of transistors that are in between the CPU socket and the RAM sockets.

This is starting to get on my nerves now. :(

Here's a clip. Hopefully you'll be able to hear the noise I'm on about. Any idea what could be causing it? It was almost silent until last night.

RMA? :(

I have that noise on mine every now and then, but it's only for a short while. :/

It was fine until I switched it on last night.

I found this thread on the Corsair support forums which describes the exact noise mine is making.

I've tried RAM Guy's suggestion of tapping the pump but it's made no difference. I'll leave it a few days in case it's just trapped air that needs to work itself loose.

My H60 made an awful noise, Corsair suggested RMA, and the place I ordered it from accepted it back and they also tested it as faulty.

I've moved onto the H80, very pleased that I did so.

I thought I could send it back to OCUK but there's a big note in the H60 box that says "DO NOT RETURN TO RETAILER" and the email from Corsair seems to be saying that it will have to go back to the US.

Not sure I can be bothered sending it all the way back there and then waiting for them to test it and send out a replacement. :(

Chalk it up to experience and buy something that actually works I suppose...

The noise is too irritating and now that I've noticed it I can't ignore it so the H60's coming out to be replaced by a Noctua NH-D14, along with some Corsair Vengeance LP RAM so that it'll actually fit. :D

I have full-height Vengeance RAM (didn't want to wait for the LP). I also had a Noctua air cooler. What I did, bought H80, and returned faulty H60 for refund.
