For soap, I do love Truefitt and Hills scents, especially West Indian Limes, but Proraso soap has been unbeatable for me. Great lather, good scent and a third of the price of T&H. Seems to last ages too.
OK before I spend like £70 on this stuff can anyone suggest anything else I may need or any other replacement stuff?

Is the badger brush which comes with this package any good? Not the one which costs more, just the standard brush?
Cheers.

About to order the starter kit. Any recommendations for a post shave product that could help with shaving rash. Cheers.
Just had my first shave with the feather blades.
The closest shave i've ever had. They are that good.
Then i tried to be a hero and shave against the grain for a closer shave like i normally do. Huuuge mistake. The alum block had some work to do under my chin.
Next time, keep it simple.
I have shaving oil and cream but to be honest i feel i get a better shave using just oil, does anyone else find this, is it wrong?
I don't know what I did wrong but my shave was horrendous! I did about 6 passes and will still have to go again later.
I guess my angle was wrong?
I realised why my shave was so poor; i'd put the 'head' of the razor on the wrong way round. The grooves were facing down not up. About to try it the 'correct' way.
I can't shave against the grain.
