The AMD Driver Thread

Its really odd for me, crossfire works fine once in game, however getting in game is another issue but its the same issue as the beta...massive slow down in the menus to the point it takes an age to load the game.

Do you totally turn off crossfire? or just set-up a profile to say don't run crossfire, if you take the profile option it does not 100% turn it off and can still cause an issue

yeah totally turn it off. I still get upwards of 70fps using Ultra @ 1440p so it's at least playable on one card. But just find it annoying how they specifically release a driver for the game and then it doesn't work how it did in the BETA. There's no excuse for missing game textures, non at all, that's just lazy ass testing.

I'm not experiencing that on native 1440p, nor is my housemate on his 7970 and native 1440p.

Are you running with any plugins or mods which might be causing this?

Nothing, No mods or ini tweaks. I'm happy with 60 fps and know the engine can be finicky so I don't touch anything outside of the main menu.

It never did it before 15.11.1.

Ice Caves map

Only seems to be on certain sections though, when I run further into the map the black snow goes away, maybe it's a feature ;)

Thats normal that, 15.11.1s are optimized for SWBF, so textures just being black will give a performance boost :p

I just think the developers + AMD/nvidia aren't bothering to support multi gpu setups as well these days, must be a VERY small minority compared to single GPU users so they just don't see the point and rather spend more time getting the best they can from single GPUs. Seems like there is nothing but problems or/and slow support for both sides at the minute when it comes to multi-gpus, AMD with this and previous games and nvidia with their sponsored games i.e. batman AK, fallout 4, assasins creed syndicate and even removing SLI support for total war lol....

Does the new drivers that give all this extra performance potential affect the 295X2 at all please?

Not sure if it was a Windows 10 update or an Amd driver update that i saw the performance increase :S

I get the same texture issues on my 290x. Usually at the start of the round but then it goes.

But on a side note my 290x runs this game on ultra@1440p really, really well. I had to stop and look at some rock textures as they looked awesome

I am having no issues on 6970 CF in SW BF at 1440P, both cards at 99% usage. I am using the latest beta drivers in Win 10. Its amazing how well it runs on old hardware, but keeping an eye on black Friday sales as I am overdue an upgrade.

I did have a problem when I first moved to Win 10 with CF not working but did a driver uninstall and installed latest drivers and its been fine since.
