The AMD Driver Thread

Consoles and TVs well most TVs are hdmi... This is were I see hdmi Freesync going tbh.. Pc side will always be better using DisplayPort.

Not sure if current consoles could support FreeSync, guess they should in theory depending on if the hardware that allows it has been stripped out of them. Not sure if AMD have a deal in place for the next consoles, but if not there's no guarantee the next ones will be compatible.

Then you'd need to get it included in TVs as a feature a lot of people may not use.

It would most likely get implemented into a new HDMI spec.

Very interesting features. Especially that optimised flip queye size, which should basicly reduce input lag.

I've been using Crimson for a few weeks now, it's nice. Shader Cache is my favourite new feature. It makes Battlefield 4 DX11 play nicely with QuadFire at 4K. :)


Looks like us *nixers are getting some love to, and with perf gains :D
