Hello Guys

I need as many of you to vote as possible.

The Question is...

Would you be interested in Cheap SATA-II SSDs if the price was right??

Pre-order prices of:
- Vertex 2E Bigfoot 3.5" 480GBs for £149.99??
- Vertex 2E 2.5" 240GBs for £99.95??
- Vertex Limited Edition 2.5" 100GBs for £49.99??
- Vertex 2E Bigfoot 3.5" 180GBs for £79.99??

So whats your thoughts? please share in the poll!

EDIT: Warranty is 3 years including 1 year with us.

I'd be interested in some big cheap 2.5 ones for my laptop, makes sense for that sort of thing as you'll rarely need the top end speed of SATA III

As long as they ship with decent stable firmwares they are just as good as modern sata 3 drives in day to day stuff. Defo interested.

Voted before I saw Sandfarce.
I would be interested in cheap SATA-II SSDs based on almost any other controller.
If you made the drives in the OP £5 each I would consider them, for unimportant uses or people I don't like.

any form of 480GB SSD for £150 regardless of physical size (as long as it's SATA II) and I will be all over it, I fancy a new games drive :)

With the 250GB Samsung 840 non-pro nearing £100 after cashback you'd be hard pushed to choose one of the older 240GB or 180GB SSDs.

The 480GB drive is worth a look however.

The SATA II/III differences have very little impact in real world use. 480GB for ~£150 would be an amazing second drive for games (using a 240GB Samsung 830 as a main drive) and I would snap one up instantly.

Large, slightly slower SSD's are great for laptops too, but they would need to be 2.5".

The 480GB would tempt me. After a decent sized drive for flight simulator x (ideally 250GB+). Cheap SATA 3 drives arent much more in that size so wouldn't be of interest.

If you can get a decent stock of the 480's I think that'll sell decently well. Couple of em in raid-0 for a steam drive (i.e stuff I don't mind if I loose) could be quite decent. If you can get nearer £125 then certainly.

Interested in what you could get around the £50 mark as a sdd to throw in a laptop and maybe a media machine. After being burned with a rubbish OCZ ssd, no chance on that manufacturer. Different source company and I'm game.

Vertex 2E Bigfoot 3.5" 480GBs for £149.99??

Would be interested, and would recommend the smaller drives to friends currently on MHD for Op Sys.
