Think its time we had a new one . New no bitch chat about the dayz Mod and dayz related stuff !

Vanila DayZ
DayZ is an award winning free 2012 multiplayer open world survival horror mod designed by Dean Hall for the 2009 tactical shooter video game ARMA 2 and its 2010 expansion pack, ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead. The mod places the player in the fictional post-Soviet state of Chernarus, where an unknown virus has turned most of the population into undead, violent zombies. As a survivor with limited supplies, the player must scavenge the world for supplies such as food, water, weapons and medicine, while killing or avoiding both zombies and other players and sometimes non-player characters - in an effort to survive the zombie apocalypse.

Epoch

DayZ Epoch is a modification of DayZ set in a future time after the Great Infection. Humanity is slowly returning to the wasteland, industrious survivors have begun to join together in small groups and rebuild society. Merchants have started to pop up to do business with survivors who collect goods from the wasted remnants of civilization. Wholesalers have landed, offering imported goods to aid the rebuilding effort.

All is not safe however some vestiges of infection still remain and rogue bandits still roam the countryside preying on unsuspecting survivors.

Survive, explore, build wealth, make your way through the harsh environment and assist in the effort to rebuild, or burn it all down its your choice, live in the Epoch.

Origins

Welcome to Origins, the new ARMA II mod inspired and based on modified version of DayZ. Fight to survive in the harsh apocalyptic Taviana 3.0 map, fully redesigned, making room for a wide range of new features and twisted survival elements. The world has gone to hell and you're right in the middle. There is more to life than just surviving, and now you have a purpose. What is this infection that has spread across the globe? Why are the dead walking again? Is there any hope in putting an end to this? There is only one way to find out, grab what supplies you can and get exploring.


Some things never change, the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor. While you crawl in the mud hunting for scraps the rich have made a nice home for themselves, aptly named “Salvation Island”. They live in comfort surrounded by high walls and armed mercenaries. But they are not there to just keep the infected at bay. Don't expect a welcome party if you pay them a visit. Although if you manage to get in, you will have a chance at grabbing some of their finest weaponry.


All of this set in our new Taviana 3.0 featuring over 60 new buildings with full interiors to explore. From Hospitals and Police stations to Museums and Military Camps. There is more to explore than ever before. Will you be able discover the Origins of the outbreak or simply become another walking corpse?

In your haste to complain. You forgot to read the thread that you linked.

That thread is for the standalone version. This new thread is for the mod version.
 
Playing on MGT last night with a chap called Arran. Next thing he gets kicked for hacking. Thought it was a little odd how come he spawned next to a trader when he was shot. Although I must be lacking game sense because I didn't know missiles in the heli's were hacked in! oops...he killed a couple people!
 
Can Breaking Point be installed via DayZ Commander? I wouldn't mind giving it a try but don't want to faff around for ages trying to install it :)

Yep banned him off our server too the other day for using godmode in an armoured suv.. we dont have armoured SUVs on our server so was a dead giveaway.. that and when one of the admins shot him and his vehicle with an as50 he just shrugged it off.

Thats from the setdamage.log - 0.00000 = repairing, if its 1.00000 then its destroying.

I think 6 updater tried implementing BP but the BP devs were not too happy, give it a bit of time and it will be up i reckon

I would think so but the admin that tried to kill him said he definitely hit him aswell but the only thing in the setdamage log is the vehicle

and that could be anything, there are many different ways of putting godmode on.. a lot use a trigger name that they associate with a longer string.. so simply their trigger could be ABC and when they exec that, it says ABCDEFGHIJKLMNO.. ect just so its shorter and easier to do and if they are named in a way that isnt obvious and.. for example if they named it useMorrphine you might not notice it or think anything of it

I think god mode on the player is done through the scripts.log making it a bit harder to find manually though if its named like the admin script one we use it'll come up like this:

But where it says god mode 2 - could be anything at all so not to send off alarms aswell as the .sqf file could be called anything. Its pretty easy to know what to look for if you have the players name, you can just do a scripts log for him and see what he's executing as realistically.. they shouldnt be executing anything from their own computer or anything named differently to scripts on the server!
 
what should be done is just make one merged dayz thread. it really is that simple.

the dayz mod will die off once standalone is out and majority migrate to that. support for mod will then decline as focus is poured onto standalaone

dayz is a concept so just merge all dayz in one thread. it is just simple.

eventually it will just lead to standalone talk anyway.

So Namalsk/Origins/Taviana/Lingor/Panthera are going to be on SA on release? What about those who are a bit bored of vanilla Cherno? I'll still play both, I won't be aborting the different maps :rolleyes:
