C2D @ 2.8ghz, 2Gb, X1900XTX @ 710/810

OK FPS up until loads of autogen...

Need more CPu powah!

Im running Conroe E6400, 2GB DDR2 PC6400 800Mhz And Radion X1900Gt 256 all standard. My Fs9 look 10X better than this, cant figure out why got most the settings at medium high

by all accounts it appears not to be all its hyped up to be .. not got my copy yet but the forums all over are full of bad reports

not impressed yet , bit sinical but maybe MS holding something back for the "Vista performance boost" patch they have been touting

think im staying with my FS9 for now at least i know i have it running as i want with stuff installed i know works .. too many memories of buying stuff for FS2002 and then finding it wouldnt work when upgraded to FS9

Ahh so its out then, that was a quiet release.

Not sure if I'll buy this one, the demo wasnt very good and it just seems that all there doing with each different version is adding new gfx and then slapping a big price tag on it. I want a full simulation of every system ona plane and then Ill buy it

Have they sorted the flight model out for hovering of helicopters yet?
I seem to remember the old version being impossible to hover.

Thats just the MS helis. If you download something like the Wessex it's easy to hover.

Is Flight Sim still backwards compatible with all previous versions, thus forcing them to keep the graphics rubbish?

Pretty much. The graphics engine from FS2000 is still used (at least I'm sure it is) and we all know how poor that was.

Well there nothing special with this new version it seems from the final demo i've been playing around with today, took a few screen shoots.

All the pictures are in ultra high settings apart from the jet screen shots which was on the next settings down.

It was very playable for me in ultra high settings, it did stutter slightly when in airports, but was'nt to bad, im surprised as i've only got a XFX 7800 GTX 490/1300 extreme + AMD Winny @ 2.4 and 1 GB ram hehe.
