Mister Delivery man has just turned up with my 7900 GT
I'm currently running :

520/1500 stock settings

Will post some initial clocks ASAP.
The heatsink on this thing is tiny so will be ordering a VF 900 next week.

Post your 7900 clocks please. :)

I will bench soon to see how faster it is over my 7800 GT

Yes, please do - may consider a 7900GT. A stock "256MB 7800GTX" scores on average 8000 3DMark05. My 7800GT can do up to 7800 3DMark05 / 4294 3DMark06. There you go, there's some reference scores... hopefully the 7900GT will output some decent benchmarks.

But then EVGA are apparently going to release a 750MHz verion :cool:

I bet with a small volt mod and good cooling 800MHz is a reality.

EVGA do make excellent cards, like my EVGA 7800GT, which I have recently sold at auction. It came stock at 470MHz core and 1100MHz memory. Shame there aren't many e-tailers selling the brand.

What model 7900GT did you buy easyrider?
 
First run 3dMark 05

7800 GT : 7117 3D/05

7900 GT : 9047 3D/05 520/1500

Nearly 2000 points gain with the 7900 GT.

Just did auto detection myself and got 548/1624!
Faster memory than some GTX's! :D

Just doing another 05 run to see if everything is in order. :)

Very nice, though to be fair yours is the extreme one;) mines the cheapo bottom of the range one:cool:

Where are the 3DMark06 scores? Has it lagged your 7900GT out already? :p :D Or is your system incapable?

Oh I intend to, on my 7800GT the auto detect was very.. whats the word.. safe? It'd go a fair bit further manually.

One thing I've noticed is it isn't quiet but I'm after a VF900 anyway.
