Hostel *Spoilers*

One of these got close previously as it's not out in the uk yet...

So I'd expect this to be closed aswell :)

Sorry.

Now that it has been released, can I just say what utter tripe this film was. Biggest disappointent of the year so far for me. The plot was so, so wet, missing the most important ingredient for films of this type... a villan (you cant count that guy with his unsteady hands... after all, he was just a client). No character development whatsoever, and just when you think you've figured out the one remaining guy... he makes a decision out of character - namely going back for the asian chick. If they'd have kept his mate (Josh?) alive, and he'd heard him scream, then that would have made sense. They also missed a trip with that Oli fella - he was really quirky and fun to watch.. and they just remove the guy, without the satisfaction deserved by him.

The whole film rely's on gore to maintain any appeal... and also there it disappoints. It's just too much, pantomime for the most part, and quite laughable.

A couple of good scenes, notably Josh's end (liked the tension built when he's looking around the room through one small peephole), but not enough to salvage the film in any shape. My vote - avoid.

Oh, on the plus side, some cracking norks on display throughout.

Saw it this morning. I found it quite boring for the first half with nothing much happening except some nudity. (this will probably make it a fantastic film for some people :p )

The gory scenes were OK but I think the ending was a bit far-fetched.

Well that's me sold. :D
I will watch it just because its Tarantino as there is something about his movies that captivates me every time. As soon as the titles role i just seem to get lost in his films.

my god it was one of the worst films i've ever seen. dont waste your time on it, please.

The gore was quite entertaining, but the overall feel of the film was cheap, so I'd wait until the DVD release myself.

Don't get excited guys i always wait for the DVD release.
I am far to long and awkward for cinema seats and i like a good smoke whilst watching. Also they won't let my Frank staffy dog in. :p

I found the other client who he meets when he's trying to escape who keeps asking him questions hilarious :D

I quite liked it, I liked the fact that everyone was in on it and it wasn't just one guy. The gore was good and absolutely beautiful women getting their kit off

I had absolutely no intention of ever watching this film so I decided to read a spoiler/synopsis and it sounds absolutely appauling. I have even less intention of seeing it now.

i'm young and i love killing...i enjoyed it but felt more gore / horror was needed.

i think the actors did as good of a job as possible its the makers that need a kicking

i'll watch it again when it comes out on DVD

I read a review in the paper saying something like:

"This is the most disturbing film I've seen in 20 Years of reviewing films. Violent pornography this, sickening that..."

Then it said something about this being the reason the youth of today is bad.

So that review made me want to see it - went Friday and thought it was ****.

Agree with Otacons post entirely. The film was hardly the most disturbing too.

As for violent pornography, must have missed that bit.

It is watchable but I wouldn't rate it at all.

B A D
don't watch, NO storyline, saved by some fake breasts and a crazy icelandic guy, if i wasn't with friends i would have been out of there faster than maurice green 5 years ago

Agree with most of the other posters - complete pile of poo in my opinion :(

Quite dissappointed as I love Tarantino films normally.

Oh, the norks are class!!!! :D :D
