This is truly a amazing game i love it so much got it yesterday and man i carnt get off it, the visuals are amazing and not even abit of lag, not buggy at all i would recommend it :D

I still can't understand why people like this game - get past the engine (which isn't breath-taking - just 'good'), and it's a very VERY basic game, with terrible AI, terrible level design and nil atmosphere...

I just got hold of this game, and I must agree with BaDBoY16. This is really is a great game.

The graphics and engine are definitely brilliant. Moody and pretty, with extremely impressive environments and effects, all while keeping up a smooth as hell framerate. This engine is obviously better optimised than at least 75% of the garbage out there right now (i.e. Rainbow Six Vegas) and only totals 1.5GB on my hard disk.

I've heard that Ageia PhysX support for this game is crap, being limited to the odd effect liks wine pouring out of broken bottles and some pretty poor cloth effects. I don't have a PhysX card, but it sound like the same old crap from the PPU side of gaming.

Gameplay is not really anything out of the ordinary, but definitely above par. The AI could be better at times, but use of cover is great and the special powers are a huge amount of fun. There are also lots of nice weapons to play with and they feel fun as opposed to under/overpowered. It's also good to see a shooter with a decent amount of puzzles in it again, as I've found myself struggling to kill a guy or find my way out of a place a couple of times now and that never happens in the typical linear shooters we get today.

Not sure about anyone else, but for me this is definitely one of those gems that's just appeared from nowhere.

Puzzles too hard for you, eh? ;) :p

Speaking of smoothness though; Does anyone know why I get tearing in this game on my 8800GTS with vsync forced in the Forceware control panel? It only seems to happen in this game and no other.

The main problem I have with this game is that the crosshair is not in the center for the screen. I am so used to aiming with the center of the screen I keep finding myself shooting way above the heads of my targets.

Other than that it feels very 'consoley' as in not having much depth and very basic gameplay elements. The secondary fire mana thing feels very gimicky and it seems that they made it a requirement to use for bosses because other than that there is no reason to use it and most would prefer to let rip with an AK.

There's no MP element but the graphics engine looks good and plays smoothly on top settings. This game is what I would expect of from a port from console to PC.

I get tearing in this game with vsync forced and my ati x1800xt card :(

thought it was going to be crap judging from the first level, seemed like a training mission and now i'm into the real game. I prefer slower paced adventure games so this is interesting. It feels a bit like Resident Evil 4 :)

another vote for this also, really great game with some cool little puzzles, I must admit the smoothness of the game engine does add to the enjoyment somewhat :).
The puzzles are ace in my opinion. They're not hard, but they frustrate you just enough until you realise that the solution is obvious. I like the way it keeps you challenged without slowing down the pace of the action. :D

Must admit, my most time consuming "puzzle" of the game so far was figuring out how to kill the welders even though the game basically draws you a diagram with neon lights around it saying "Here is how to kill them!" lol. :o

I just got this game today and I have to say I'm really enjoying it, it's a lot more dynamic than most 3rd person shooters. As someone above mentioned the powers are really fun to play with.

Seconded,

Amazing graphics by the looks of it, not too keen on the puzzle solving though, may give this a try
