Hehe I cannot wait.

Anyone else recently got a new one since their release date?

I had the first Intel iMac back in early 06 and was so over the moon with it.

Now that belongs to my sister and I'm waiting impatiently for the new arrival.

:)
 
My boss at work just ordered one of these with the same spec, can't personally justify the extra for the 2.8 extreme, but me thinks that I will be investing in the top end Mac Mini instead :)

256MB 2600 PRO
& whatever else.

New keyboard (wired) looks nice, but I may have to invest in the wireless when its easily available.

Will be installing a basic XP just for game playing. Hope to do some benchmarking for people if its needed?

Although I'm confident if there previous iMac I had (X1600 256MB) could cope with BF2 and others than I'm sure this model will be fine also.
 
If I had to get an iMac then that's the spec I'd order.. well done :D

I'm holding out until the new year for Penryn & Leopard though

Post pics when you get it in the Mac Gallery.

It's just a matter of waiting, Apple really needs to sort out their method of delivery tbh it just takes too long to receive it. Although it is totally worth the wait at the end of the day.
 
It's more the way they advertise delivery..

They say "Ships in 24hrs", but if it's coming from the Far East (as sometimes the case with new stock) then it won't arrive for a good 5 business days.

They really should have a calculator, and give you a to-the-door guesstimate :)

That's a good idea.

And your right about the way they advertise, they don't really tell you how long it will take to get to you and the estimated delivery dates don't seem to ever be accurate.
 
I ordered on Monday and they havent even taken the money :( I'm not gonna get this till week after next or something daft like that *cries*

I'm desperate for it *cries again* lol

I must be blind, but where is the post your Mac setup thread? I remember seeing it many many months ago. I don't see it at all now.

I wouldnt worry about the extra clock on the extreme. Save your pennies and just upgrade the RAM. The 2.4 has one stick of memory so you only need to buy another 1GB stick. :)
