No idea how to upgrade the Ram, hope it is easy lol

I think you simply have to undo a screw on the bottom edge of the screen to access the memory. At least I'm sure SJ said that in the last conference.

You undo a screw, take the cover off, pull a lever and slot in the RAM :)

Be sure to go to "About this Mac" and check the amount is registered.

If it isn't then obviously you didn't seat it correctly...

Well the status has now changed and is saying shipped. TNT have it somewhere now, although it says delivered by the 29th (subject to change).

Also says In Transit too which confuses me?

Either way I'm getting excited now hehe

They have places in Dublin and Holland I believe, although its now in the hands of TNT? Doesnt this say its here in the UK now with TNT?

Anyway, just hope it arrives before the bankholiday? Might be why they've stated the 29th?

Time to clear desk, get ready for it! :D

I had a play with one of the new iMacs at the weekend. Nice - slim and pretty.

However there's not much that it does beyond my MBP :D

Once it hits the UK then you can be assured it will take no longer than 2 working days :)

I've found TNT and UPS to be very efficient!

Slight topic deviation here.

Has anyone who has one of the new macs had any speed/reliability issues with the wireless.

Its worse that dog poo on mine. Very very slow and regularly hangs, as in transfer rate drops out.

Just wanted to see if anyone else has suffered similar issues.

Not me personally, but LOADS of people are putting it down to the 10.4.10 update causing the dropout issues.

Apple have just seeded 10.4.11 to devs, so expect it soon.. I'm guessing it will fix the issue, as EVERYONE on the forum sites are moaning about it :)

I too have ordered a 2.8 24" iMac, checked on the TNT website and its being picked up in Shanghai!!!! estimated delivery date 28th August
http://www.apecode.com

It will let you track the parcel to the UK, and there you can use TNT (or whichever courier handles it) to track it to your door :D

I don't like TNT. They pretended to send a van to my house once.

That van never did arrive. Well, not the day they said it had anyway. Had my MacBook Pro in it as well.

Next time that happens, distract the driver and get someone to tie his shoes :D;)

The rest of us already got a fix:

It probably won't work on the new iMacs though.
