I don't rate any of my banks highly to be honest (Barclays, Natwest, HSBC and Egg). HSBC seems to be a lot friendlier to things. E.g. payments, changing details, and so on.
Barclays has been great for me, but I'm not a business user or anything like that. Some people won't like the card reader they send you that you need to use everytime you log on, but I'm thankful of the extra security and its very easy to use.
The only problem I have with my banks online service (Barclays) is that it's been down a bit recently (needs a good meal out to cheer it up).
The card reader can be a minor nuisance , but I would much rather the odd bit of irritation to the pain in the neck that fraudulent activity could cause me (with the reader they have to physically have the card and my pin to do much with the account).
The site itself is easy to use, and understand etc
Nationwide i rate highly! Same for RBS/Ulster bank, the main ones iv used.
Im still waiting on to see what abbey will be like.
Either way Barclays are SCUM!! Purely for having the cheek to tell me my surname is just invalid (its double barrelled with no hyphen) and then tried to charge me premium phone rates to get it sorted! I said no thank you and dont bank with them any more
