Got the VXR booked into Thorney tomorrow for a Stage 2 along with a Miltek Race, uprated plugs and air filter. Should be good for around 285-290bhp. :D Just thought I'd share. I'll have the power graphs up tomorrow if anybodys intrested. Hopefully the torque steer won't be too bad. ;):p
 
I'll most likley go to Stage 3 after christmas along with an LSD, AP 4 pots and RARB. Should be quite the car then. The LSD and RARB are known to totally transform the cars handling.
 
I've driven a Stage 2 mapped VXR and it was very quick I was slightly suprised how quick it actually was. I generally always back off so I don't go into triple figures but when I looked down it was going past 130 at a good rate. (This was of course on a private track)

Its about changing the heat range of the plugs. If you are tuning a car for higher power the cylinder temperatures go up. If you have a too hot a plug, it can cause pre-ignition (causing the mixture to ignite out of cycle due to the electrode getting really hot).

Is there really a need for the AP 4 pots? Surely just some better pads on stock brakes will be fine. Are you currently overheating the brakes at the moment?
 
my comiserations.

I just hope they dont mess about like so many others on the VXR forums. Most recent example is the vectra they had for 2 months to develop their stage 3 offering for him.

In the end he paid £800 for an exhaust that produces no extra power, paid roughly full price for the stage 3 conversion and ended up with no compensation whatsoever for not having a car for 2 months.

Oh and they lied to him about the exhaust as well. Telling him he was getting a special one off 3 inch system, when in fact they just took the existing crap system that produces no extra power off the shelf and charged him full price for it.

And thats before we get onto the other members that end up in huge argument with J.T. for a reason. Aussie disagreed with him so strongly he ended up getting suspended over his argument with him. Likewise Alexfi.

And dont even get me started on their magic rollers that produce torque figures unrepeatable elsewhere from cars owned by prominent forum members such as VXRmarc.
