So excited..

Videos are coming once the rain settles down a bit, but here is the dyno graph.

the 2.8 inch milltek on mine retails for £800

Its what milltek charge for a complete system. Heck their catback systems for other makes (like seat etc..) are usually £300 +

the milltek race for the astra is turbo back.

my comiserations.

I just hope they dont mess about like so many others on the VXR forums. Most recent example is the vectra they had for 2 months to develop their stage 3 offering for him.

In the end he paid £800 for an exhaust that produces no extra power, paid roughly full price for the stage 3 conversion and ended up with no compensation whatsoever for not having a car for 2 months.

Oh and they lied to him about the exhaust as well. Telling him he was getting a special one off 3 inch system, when in fact they just took the existing crap system that produces no extra power off the shelf and charged him full price for it.

And thats before we get onto the other members that end up in huge argument with J.T. for a reason. Aussie disagreed with him so strongly he ended up getting suspended over his argument with him. Likewise Alexfi.

And dont even get me started on their magic rollers that produce torque figures unrepeatable elsewhere from cars owned by prominent forum members such as VXRmarc.

Quoted for the truth, I would not touch TMS with a bargepole. One big marketing machine.

TMS are pretty pants I went to them some pretty low stage1 results and they tried to blame it on the cat (which was fine) and tried to sell me one of their exhausts for around £1100! anyway I got brought a remus (nurburgring exhaust) with the 100 cell cat for £450 second hand and got a stage 2 map from another firm and ended up with the same results as you, leads me to believe some of their maps are pretty pants. Although they do offer a pretty good warranty. If they stuck to it.

I think the fact they claim 18bhp from a NA remap with nothing else speaks volumes.

Companies like Courtenay who have access to more of the ECU can only really get negligible power from a remap of a standard NA car, something like 3bhp.

"their map" lol its a superchips map

They just flash a generic map onto your car, and if they do need to make any alterations they phone superchips and ask them to alter it. That is assuming they do decide it needs alterations and dont try and blame your car. Or worse case scenario, have no idea what was causing it to run wrong and have to have other forum members on vxronline point out to you that the increased boost your running needs closed gapped spark plugs, while thorney were busy replacing parts left and right and centre under warranty with no clue what was wrong ...

At least at courtenays every map is custom written based upon the standard dyno run you do, then written by stephan klasen in germany, then e-mailed to courtenay direct.

Well I just read all 26 pages of that TMS thread, what a complete an utter idiot.

Reminds me of a guy who used to do T16 turbo conversions in the Rover scene, George from RMS - Cars would go to his workshop and disapear for 6 months, come back sans fancy parts and with shocking installs... then there were the HUGE webs of lies that would be told to all, it became quite theatrical really, asside for those with thousands of pounds invested in it!

Hope you get it sorted Princey, not what you want eh!
