Hey guys,

For all of you who do not know what larping is, it stands for Live action role play.

Basically, you make up a character and physically play it out with a series of other larpists. We make up scenarios in a fiction setting in the real world.

Many of you will have seen the 'Lightning bolt' Larping video on youtube. It's great fun and allows yourself to release your inner larpist.

For those of you who want to know more about larping:

I was thinking about creating a OcUK Larping Team. So we can all release our inner larpists.

No flaming please, I am deadly serious.

Why not? I am an elite larpist and it has become part of my larpstyle.

Fair enough - I imagine it's the same fantasy element most gamers enjoy but with a smattering of real life social interaction.

It seems incredibly nerdy also, but have a 'mead' on me :p

(p.s. this is not a real invite - if anyone comes within 20ft of my house with a foam sword, then out will come the shotgun :D )

licensed to larp

its only like me and Nath prancing around the woods at weekends with paintball guns

Anyone see that Tough Gig programme when Dara O'Brien did some LARP'ing. Looked like a nice group of people even if it's not for me. If only more teenagers were out in the woods casting lightning bolt! instead of hanging around spar drinking cheap cider.

Gay /close thread.

I mean seriously? Larping? Even on ocuk forums which has its geeks, no way.

This is what larping is about and you expect takers on here:
