Hey you guys /sloth

We need a new chair and tried this one out recently. It's lovely, super comfy...but does anyone here have one who can tell me what it's like to live with? Any issues etc?

The cheapish leather ones all seem a bit hard so I fancy a microfibre one.

Edit: imgur lost that one, so here's another 4.5 years later:

On the subject of office chairs, I have a Markus chair being delivered tomorrow. - Not sure how good they are, but from all the fans here it seems popular so I have bought one to try it for myself. That one there looks comfortable though, not only that it does look nice looking also.

Ive got one like that from staples, around the same price but leather.

Had it for at least 2 years, and its still mega comfy and i can easily sit in it for 6+ hours and not get uncomfortable :)

Also, might have to remove the link due to Staples being a competitor :)

My last chair from there didn't last that long, the stitches came apart but maybe they have improved build quality since then.

I now have a Markus it has neck support which is nice. The build quality isn't amazing but I guess it's not really that expensive.

haha I went there last weekend and sat in that very chair! Came home and said how amazingly comfy it was, I love it!

Would be interested to know peoples thoughts on it, think it was around £200 but it really is amazingly comfortable.

I was under the impression that I'm ok to post this as ocuk don't sell chairs?

Less online, by quite a lot. Stores won't match web prices though.

It's the velour tracksuit effect that's putting me off.

It's not a trainer :p. Comfort is more important than fashion.

Does it not have a warranty? I'd feel more comfortable buying a chair with 5 years warranty as it shows some level of manufacturer confidence in the quality.

I'm sure I read that the Ikea Markus had a 10 year warranty in store but couldn't find anything about it when I got home.

Well I ordered this and my wife has just called to say it's arrived at home! It really is insanely comfortable and a lot better than the £500 leather jobbies I tried at John Lewis.

Also it was £199 in-store yet only £130 online?!

Pics to follow.

This chair is really comfortable, even though the one I tried out in store was actually broken. My mate bought one and I agree it's comfy. However it is kinda thin compared to chairs I am used to, makes me feel a bit squashed. And lets be honest it's not the best looking chair ever. Those arms ruin it.

I need a new chair, but still not sure if I should buy this one.

Staples Big loop user they have now renamed it to Bronx Leather-faced Chair its the best one if you love high back. They are great when its under the 2 year warranty but did have to get a replacement in its lifetime as the leather split and cracked. Use it daily for over 8 hours a day most times and its awesome.

I tried a markus but if your a big guy with big thighs its not comfy but my next door neighbour loved it.

Thin width-ways? Didn't notice that.

All I know is that it was by far the most comfortable chair I sat on, and I sat on a lot in Staples and John Lewis!

Not sure on warranty, for £130 I'm not that bothered and it should automatically come with 1 year anyway.
