Just signed up now that it's available, £5.99p/m, unlimited streaming. :) http://www.netflix.co.uk.

Personally after flicking around for the past few minutes I'm a bit disappointed in some of the choice, though I imagine it'll get better. Lots of British stuff, but not a lot of American TV, and no Marvel movies like Thor, Cap America, or Xmen. Also not Batman Begins or Dark Knight which I thought was most surprising.

Anyone else tried it yet?
 
Did a 5 year old design that site?

Does not look professional at all and if it didn't carry the Netflix name i'd think it was a bogus site to rip people off.
 
Netflix would be worth it if we could get american films before they came into the cinema in the UK, however that would never happen because of distribution and licensing regulations and laws
 
Is it limited to the number of devices you can have your account on?

Ie..

I have desktop pc, media centre, ps3, phone, netbook

What's the quality like? I was pretty disappointed with the Lovefilm PS3 quality, looks like a 700mb xvid
 
Been using Netflix for a few years now in the US. Instant content started out slow but now has a lot of titles, so I'm sure it will pick up over there as well.

Quality is for the most part very very good, but as expected there will be some where the video/audio don't quite sync perfectly.

bledd. : I can watch it on home PC, work laptop, PS3, or Android with no problems, and have even logged in at my mum's. So it doesn't seem to have a limit on the number of devices.

Make sure your network has enough bandwidth to run X-HD/High quality though.
 
I was going to sign up for a trial but had a scout around the selection available and actually thought it wasn't worth the effort! It was a bit like browsing the bargain bin at Tescos..

It's because rights to stream films online have to be agreed with each of the Studios. It was announced recently that Amazon had already done a deal with Warner Bros, which is why you won't see the Dark Knight on Netflix UK. Amazon were heavily advertising that the Dark Knight could now be streamed on LoveFilm over Xmas.

As most speculation has said, while Netflix is huge in the US, they've left it very late to enter the UK market and are now up against a huge online retailer.
 
Was hoping they would be an improvement over LoveFilm's online streaming service, but it certainly doesn't look like it from that site.
 
I don't want to register to find out there's nothing to watch, is the content on the browse section of the site all there is?
 
Yes, there is far more than that. I've been browsing around and found a lot more than I saw previously, but it's still disappointing there's no WB, Paramount or Fox stuff. Far too much British stuff.
