Netflix is now in the UK

You can use quite a few devices with it. Got it on my tv, ps3, computer, wifes kindle fire, sister and mother in law use our account too on their 360 and computer.

How annoying, no PS3 app to watch Netflix...

Patience... Patience.. over here in the USA. The netflix logo is on all the retail boxes of the PS3.. Once a major selling point for 360's, being netflix exclusive.

There's not many smart devices that are not netflix ready over here.

I use it heavily. My kids do too. My iPhone 4G-S streams it perfectly over 3G and its a great portable viewer while in the car for the kids.

I can only see 4 seasons available for 24.

I just started watching Breaking Bad, watched the first four episodes back to back!.

I don't really know what made me sign up. I normally turn a blind eye to these services but considering how you pay more than £10 on travel per week, £6 a month to watch shows and movies you never got round to is brilliant. The quality is very good, not BBCiplayer HD but it's better than a dvd.

Noticed a small issue on the Xbox, if you are bandwidth limited like I am (50gb) then you don't have a choice to select sub HD content, it will always automatically choose HD based on your connection speed. Short of artificially throttling it, I can't see what I can do about this.

I'm happy that it's out. But I'm going to give it 3 - 6 months before checking it out properly. It sounds like it's pretty basic at the moment, hopefully they'll sort out the movie studio deals and what not :)

If you log into the web site there are quality options - not sure if they also apply to the apps.

I'm fairly impressed with the quality and range of titles - far superior to lovefilms service.

Hopefully the content will be dramatically improved next month once the initial rush of free trials end.

Anyone know if they are planning a mail service too?

Ive spent 5 mins having a quick look at what to watch and... Jesus it sucks.. Ill look again tomorrow evening but. im glad its a free trial.

Breaking Bad is epic.

As others have said I'm considering this but not until it has a bigger selection of titles. Fail that I may just get LoveFilm instead if they drag their heels.

While the collection will no doubt improve, people need to understand that your never going to get the latest releases on either LoveFilm or Netflix's streaming services, the Studios just won't allow it.

That's why for me, I think LoveFilm still wins it hands down, because of the actual disc rentals.

HD quality is not very good. Does have a good selection of content thats only going to get better. Will give it the month as it must be getting hammerd right now so slow at loading movies.

Has anybody managed to stream this with anything other than 2.0 sound?

i tried it on my media center and everything was just in stereo.... Which makes it worse than everything else I can get for 'free'.

Do you have to sign up to browse the selection? there seems to an option to view it but nothing shows up for me

Just a quick question for you guys, if NetFlix did have a decent library, (say every studio) could you see yourselves ever buying DVD discs again?

Cheers

(Asking not just out of curiousity - I work for a DVD distributor, so services like this will no doubt have a big affect on business!)
