I have been searching the net and can't find a release date for these. Anybody at OCUK have any idea when they will hit? Apologies if this has already been asked.

not bad at all. Will be interesting to see if they release them. Heard it would only be the classy model by evga? Or was it kingpin? Because if that's the case, it could be at Titans prices

Having an extra 3GB on the kingpin model would make it pointless as most overclockers disable the extra 3GB on Titans *different card I know but same principal* anyway and seeing as the kingpin is an overclocking card the extra 3GB is purely pointless.

It's all a money maker. a lot of classys sold to people that don't OC. Just because it has 6gb people will buy it and EVGA know it.

I can't wait for the day when a company releases their top card once a year and doesn't refresh it a billion times in the same year like we have seen recently, It's getting stupid now.

More VRam can hinder OC'ing as the card only has so much power to share and the extra Vram will use some of it but if the card has extra Phases etc it can be the same

My 680 FTW 4GB clocked to 7.2GHZ (special PCB/Extra/Phases/Cooler only for FTW's), the same as a good sample 680 2GB's did and that was Heaven stable.

But down to buck many times if you get good CPU and Vram chips.

see my link above - makes no mention of Classy/Kingpin - just a reference design 6gb version (which would make sense as EVGA are offering Step-up to the 6gb cards) and a ACX version

now if these cards came in at say 440-450 (780) and 550 odd (780Ti) - would be quite tempting

I mean if you are paying 400-500 - another 10% or so - for double the VRAM sounds good to me

you "may" never need the 6gb - but who says in a years time the 4gb might be very useful indeed
