iPhone 6+ bendgate issue.

Hate to say this but Apple do have a serious design flaw problem with its latest iPhone 6+ that's currently breaking on all social media outlets.

Just imagine you dropped £600+ on the phone only for it to be faulty a few days after release.I will be returning my unopened iPhone 6+ back to Apple for full refund.

Does look weak near the buttons. He's trying quite hard with his hands, but in a pocket that's could bend quite easily imo.


Interestingly Note 3 holds up a bit better.

The more you see it the more it winds me up that a company like Apple could release a flagship product with a major design flaw.

That is **** poor.

In the video that initial small bend looked like it took a really small amount of force to bend. Granted he had to try much harder to bend it further, but the initial bend was really scary in how little effort it took. I think Apple may have a genuine problem here with the 6+...

It seems Apple may even have known about an increased risk of bending. Apparently the limited warranty on the iphone has been changed from the iphone 5/5s to not include bent enclosures anymore. One guy on r/iphone even claims he is an Apple employee and they have been briefed on the change.

Probably just putting the phone in his pocket wrong.

This is not a design flaw. If you bend something you can bend it back. If something cracks you cant crack it back. It's actually the most radical and most advanced design consideration in the history of technology!



(PS I'm having a laugh in case some Apple brainwashed guys actually start believing that)


Also it's not bending because it's aluminium, or aloominum. A steel structural beam used in building construction will bend if it is flat. This is why they aren't flat but in the shape of an "H". I think Apple haven't copied enough rudimentary ideas yet.

I better be careful with my standard 6 then, I tend to put in the lower pocket off my combat trousers when at work!

Well makes the Note 4 v 6+ choice easier for me... although the new note 4 is metal so maybe will have the same problem??

Regardless of which, if you're bending a smart phone (and an expensive one at that) you're clearly not taking much of any care.

Looks like a non-issue to me at the moment.

I have the 6, no signs of bending but a few times getting in the car I can feel it pressing on my leg so will take a little more care till I find a case I can call "the one" (not liking the current ones I see available)

I put my Plus in my inside jacket pocket, flexed my chest and bent the phone

Oh wait, no I didn't because I don't wear skin-tight clothes!

The one positive I see from this is that the glass front on the screen DIDN'T BREAK!

It cracked when he tried to straighten it (mentions and shows it in the note video)

I guess it's one way to fix the protruding camera wobble.

Calling shenanigans on it bending in peoples pockets, nobody has pockets big enough to house that thing in.
