It seems to be a competition rather than a first come first served thing, perhaps they only decide who gets them after the deadline?

EDIT: Just read the T&Cs, you should hear from them within 28 days of sending it off apparently.

I have just had a replacement 360, does that mean I can use both serials and get 20 free games

As you only need to provide your serial and email address yes you could get 10 x2 free games. But why would you want to? It's the same games. Just help someone else out.
