Hmm, see if I can manage this
1)
Threads - life-altering movie from the 80s about nuclear war and it's effects on the UK. This actually really upset me and stopped me sleeping for some time - it's that powerful.
2)
Transformers: The Movie - The epitome of the 80s childhood, awesome soundtrack, mature(ish) storyline and voiced by Orson Wells, Leonard Nimoy and Judd Nelson to name a few.
3)
Man on the Moon - Life story of Andy Kaufman, US comedian who was incredibly pioneering with his work and died at an early age. Played by Jim Carrey.
4)
Leon - Seriously awesome film about a french assassin who befriends a young girl.
5)
George A. Romero's Dawn of the Dead - The zombie film to end all zombie films. Set in a shopping centre in the 70s, epic horror film which has a satirical overtone regarding consumerism.
6)
The Shining - Amazing horror film based on Stephen King's epic of the same name. Starring my favourite actor, Jack Nicholson, in possibly his most famous role.. Heeeeeeeres Johhhnnny!
7)
Braindead - Peter Jackson's finest hour!
One of the goriest movies ever commited to film, non-stop blood and guts in this black comedy zombie flick.. which leads me on nicely to...
8)
Shaun of the Dead - One of the finest British comedies of recent times, this parody of zombie flicks is absolutely spot on and perfect in almost every way. Bloody great!
9)
Star Wars - All of them in one go, THE defining sci-fi series of modern planet earth, influences pop culture in so many ways. It's that important. Plus, lightsabers are possibly the coolest thing ever
10)
Very bad things - A little known about movie from the late 90's starring Cameron Diaz, Christian Slater etc. Really funny, very dark comedy.
Well, that wasn't too hard...
