I'm happy with how it's working with mine! The 970 is having to push 33% more pixels than it was at 1920x1080, but performance has been fine with everything I've thrown at it so far... although that's mostly been Doom, BF4, Shadow of Mordor and less demanding stuff like Diablo 3, Supreme Commander 2 and so on.

So tempted to buy one ... Just got my VEGA 64 ....

Im torn between this one and 1440p on a 27 inch screen

Just worried my vega is overkill for this monitor. Any thoughts on this people ?
 
How close do you sit with the 34"? At my desk am only about 60cm away from the monitor and thinking this might be a step too far. May get to the point where I have to turn my head to see the edge of the screen.
 
I am looking at upgrading my PC but saw this and had to get one even without the discount, I have an i7 4790 @3.6GHz what is the best budget card I could get for now. It hurts that my son has the 1080Ti.
 
well I dont want to spend to much then end up getting a really expensive one at the moment I have the GTX 750Ti so maybe £200 plus I looked at the RX 550 and the RX 580 but that is pushing the finances.

Send it back (or cancel order if possible), refund, and buy another using discount code this time, then you have £300 for GPU?
 
Well its a shame they didnt advertise the discount or even more stupid me not coming on here for advice first I would have found out. At the moment my 750Ti runs at max 100Hz so at first I was looking at the 580 because I am told its Nvidia equivalent is the 1070 and it supports FreeSync 2 or can I go for a Nvidia card as some people have told me they went with that choice.

The AMD 580 is miles worse than a 1070 lol.

Maybe he can pull a string here.

But you're entitled to return a product first 30 days for full refund. Missing out on a £100 discount is a pretty valid reason.
