Question: What would the annual cost be to run a 100 Watt Light bulb 24/7 @ £0.14p per kWh

Or use an LED bulb instead of waiting 3 hours for the bulb to warm up.

As has been mentioned in almost every bulb thread in GD in the past, this doesn't happen with most modern energy saving bulbs.

My floorstanding uplighter for example has 2 bulbs which I cycle depending on the mood I want and the 11 watt bulb turns on very fast (20~ seconds)to full power whereas the older bulb (8 watts) takes about a whole minute or a bit more.

Likewise the Blackspur 11 watt ceiling bulb turns on to full within seconds.
