Really i get £119.62p

24 hours x 365 days = 8760 hours

100W is 10th of 1kw so say 876 hours at 0.14p an hour

876*0.14 = 122.64, e.i. £122.64p

As has been mentioned in almost every bulb thread in GD in the past, this doesn't happen with most modern energy saving bulbs.

My floorstanding uplighter for example has 2 bulbs which I cycle depending on the mood I want and the 11 watt bulb turns on very fast (20~ seconds)to full power whereas the older bulb (8 watts) takes about a whole minute or a bit more.

Likewise the Blackspur 11 watt ceiling bulb turns on to full within seconds.
